Woolworths gift card thread

The last 3 consolidations I did on 21st may. Only 1 of the 3 came through. They are working on it so don't worry. They allow consolidations so you won't lose your money.
You guys are so lucky. For mine ones a month ago they refused to do it. Due to the number.
Had to go through the head office which was a nightmare since the corporate manager was such a rude cow.

Had to. Bite my tongue

Well, they asked me to email corporate office, when I did, they asked me to go back in-store.

Hmmm, been mulling over this deal and maybe i will try and buy a few tomorrow (yes i know I'm cutting it fine), but as I have some Only1 Gift cards hanging around not sure I'd bother to buy any more than 10 of the Perfect gift cards, that's another $1000 to of eftpos cards to work through...

For those of you buying 100-150 cards ($10,000-$15,000) is there something other than business expenses etc that you are spending these on??

Given you don't quote any other message, what offer are you referring to?

which deal are you referring to? the perfect gift eftpos cards jb hifi $10 bonus is over.

ah ok, so had t buy within the week but could redeem till the 29th... Cool... Thought that but saw the banner still up in the store...

Reminder that you have 2 more days to redeem your $10 vouchers. But then they don't expire for 99 years.

Although the gc has an expiry date, it also says 'This eCard does not expire'. So if 99 years is not enough ........

Went to buy something at JB with some consolidated eGCs, the cashier remarked they recently had a sale with 40+ GCs. Complaining about how long it took and how the receipt was too long, haha.

That's an expensive washing machine my Samsung 7.5kg cost $330 after a online order match in a MASTERS paid with 5% off Woolies card! Still going!

I can advise that some of the woolies have had their checkout pos upgraded in SA. I went to mawson lakes today and tried to buy some perfect giftcards and an error message came up at the self checkout. I was told to try the manned checkout but was later told that the mawson lakes terminals had an upgrade last week and they no accept wishcards for gift cards purchase. 2 hours later, i went to marryatville store and purchase them without any issue. I think it is just a matter of time before this golden goose is dead.
Wished I read this post earlier! :(
I went to Woolies at coughberland Park and faced the same problem. The manager tried it then advised it couldn't be processed then continued to tell me that Woolies have updated their system to prevent people from money laundering?! I said I wouldn't have bothered if there it wasn't for the JB bonus. Wished I persevered with other stores now and sure hope this system update problem if not widespread.

There must be quite a number of updates in SA.

I noticed yesterday at Woollies in Crows Nest (NSW) signs at the entrance to the self-serve area that you cannot buy gc with gc. I am sure these were not there last week. I haven't 'tested' them recently but have certainly bought gc with Wish cards there in the past.
