Woolworths gift card thread

May still be on life support.
I just bought a $100 DJ card with a couple of other items using eWish at a small manned checkout. The selfservice at the same store wasn't working for a Westfield Red yesterday.

Hi can you PM me the location of the store?

One store I tried a perfect gift at self serve
Rejected
Then went to manned and tried a jetstar with egift at same store
Accepted
Then went back to same manned register for only1
Rejected

Bought Kogan cards. Tried a staffed terminal in south Canberra with an e-gift card but the machine stated 'items not allowed". Worked last week. Oh well

Anyone explain or decipher this

Tried only1 at self serve
Declined

Took jetstar card to manned, tried egift it wokred

Took only1 to that same manned register a minute later.
Declined with egift

Can one still use the actual physical plastic WOW GC (not e gift cards) to buy other GCs ? eg Jetstar GCs

A lot of Caltex petrol stations only accept the physical GCs not the e GCs which is an issue now as NRMA no longer sell the physical GCs (at 5% discount) with free postage.

After a bit of stuffing around, I found out that RAA (In SA) still sell the physical GCs with 5% discount but now charge the $5.50 registered postage fee. After registering my mother's RAA account, i bought $2000 WOW physical GCs with my Amex Edge but had to swallow the $5.50 registered post fee (which is less painful the larger the order).

I wonder if pseudo-cash (ie only1, myperfect etc) cards are being blocked at manned and others are OK

Perfect timing planning to book a Virgin trip in December for family . You don't need to pay CC surcharge if use Gift Card like QF right ?

I did buy quite a few Woolies plastic gift cards from RAC in WA. No fees, just 5% discount and 3 Kris Miles per dollar.

Encountering something strange when trying to get the balance for perfect gift cards from Welcome to the Card Engine

Entering the details via google chrome for any card results in:

'Error'

But enter the same details into the same website using Internet Explorer and everything works fine.

I normally use chrome.

FYI, nothing in the forthcoming catalogue.

I'm hoping for another perfect gift card or VISA Only offer soon. Down to my last few.
