Woolworths gift card thread

I did use the previous offer as it's a WISH card which I can use at Big W, BWS, etc, but probably won't use this one as I still have plenty left on that card. The 4% off deal is only for supermarkets, so if you only use this for non-Supermarket purchase you are ahead by a tiny amount against the 3% for WISH cards trhough NRMA/RACQ/etc.

Big W and BWS gift cards are 5% off through RACQ.

The WISH cards are virtually pointless unless you really want the flexibility of being able to spend it in any WOW group store.

And we thought it was just Qantas - just had an email from Woolworths rewards telling me that because my card didn't scan when I bought some Apple Gift cards it didn't matter because you didn't earn rewards when buying gift cards 🤷‍♀️

Is Apple one of the unusual excluded ones? Usually its just the ones that are like cash (or can be used at multiple joints).

Unlike Coles, Woolworths bonus points for gift cards for the transaction should show on the checkout screen at the point of purchase. My advice is not to proceed with any transaction where the correct bonus points are not showing.

Hmm I bought a $50 Netflix voucher today and wasn't credited with any points. My app notes the purchase and attributed 0 points.

Going by @gaz0303 's post the bonus points are credited immediately. Has anyone else bought any and were your points credited immediately?
Too clarify, points haven’t reached my account yet, but did display on check out screen. The other reason of getting the yoghurt was to ensure my rewards account was recognised - it was boost promo I had activated. Didn’t the conditions state several days for points to appear?

Up to 14 days, yes. But I understood from your post that yours had dropped so I am less worried now.

As @Dr Ralph has wisely said, check to ensure that the points / $ you earn (if you're banking for christmas) show during checkout. If not, it may be easier to back out then.

Good advice now which I’ll follow from now on (now that I know you can see this information) - thank you. I went through a manned checkout - will it show on this screen as well? Or should I stick to self-serve checkouts?

It shows on every checkout.

Got $1000 worth of Air Bnb for use next year, points credited same day.

However took a while to go through the register, and they had to get a manager, who then asked me if I was being scammed, they had a leaflet I read which said no refunds etc. I would say do it via self serve to avoid holding up people at the registers.

However spewing as have a $4k stay with Air Bnb later this year. 40k QFF points missed out on 😂😂
