Woolworths gift card thread

And update: Finally made time to contact EDR via live chat.

They pointed to the T&Cs which says "up to 14 days". They claim the points will appear automatically in that time-frame.

Time will tell.
I too spoke to EDR live chat. The agent said they were aware that the points were not crediting automatically and that they would have to wait the 14 business days before manually crediting them. He left a note on my account to do it himself on the 15th day and even told me the date. I said that i was going to be making three more purchases over the coming three days and would it be possible to add an additional note to cover those as well and he said that wouldn't be a problem he'd look after it himself. So here's hoping! Otherwise it will be another long wait for EDR chat.

(So I wouldn't hold your breath that they will credit within the 14 days by the way my agent was talking.)

I'm not sure this will help, if it must be processed as a withdrawal.

:( Sorry to hear that. I wonder if that is policy or system process.
I suspect telling the AP worker that you are going to use one of the above cards to pay your bill is of no benefit and potentially a problem.

Better off acting as if you were going to pay $100 towards a bill using the card linked to your, say, ANZ (or insert other bank) savings account. When the time comes to swipe your bank card, let's just say sometimes accidents happen and one card can look awfully similar to another.

Don't ask me how I know (it's been some years though).

Yes, I had no issues with similar in the past, but was explicitly told by an AP (franchise) worker it no longer could be done.

Interesting, how long ago?
Did they specifically refer to prepaid eftpos gift cards, the ones with 10x points earn in the current promotion?

Presumably you have to convince them to split payment?
Depends where you shop. Most majors have the ability built into their POS, my local cafe always happy to do it. Interestingly McDonalds have said they can't split across 2 cards, only card/cash. Don't think I believe them but I respect they have the option not to.

Has anyone had success with perfect eftpos gcs today? Also interested if there are any reports of automated rejections of the payment method.

The first and only Perfect GC I purchased on saturday did not credit; following up now but will avoid purchasing any more just due to the bother.

Edit: the person I spoke to on webchat said they can't manually credit until 14 (business) days had passed, as @FlyingFiona was told. He also told me he personally was missing points from this promotion so 'totally understood' my following up!

20x points ($100 = 2,000 points) for TCN Him, Restaurant and Pub & Bar, and Netflix gift cards
Does anyone have recent experience redeeming TCN Him/Her online on their website for JB Hifi gift cards? From their website it's unclear if it still applies for the physical TCN cards.

Also interested as I was planning on doing this. Not sure if I'm confusing things but I believe the cards get exchanged for what seems to be JBHifi gift cards to enable online shopping.

From Wednesday 12 October:

20x points ($100 = 2,000 points) on Ultimate Home, Her, Style, Beauty & Spa, Students, Eats and Baby & Mum Gift Cards. 10 cards per transaction / 1 transaction per day limit in the T&C's, but no specific point limits unlike last week.

I am noting some differences on the retailer's pictured on different denominations at my local wow. In particular I am looking for Officeworks which seems to be missing from higher denominations. Not sure if it makes a difference in practice but just a note to watch out.

Not sure I understand how a student version would work on the Webjet site. Hard enough using Webjet's own GCs.

I am just about to buy some Webjet GCs from the Amex deal to book some hotels. What is the problem using Webjet's own GCs?

No probs for hotels. Can't use them for hire cars and noone uses webjet to actually buy flights. Must be a way to use the 3rd party GC on the webjet site though.

FYI the variable ultimate home cards, as pictured in the offer, do not appear to instantly credit either.
Given I had the same experience last week with the variable perfect card I wonder if this is a common problem or intentional delay that's been added.

My ultimate also do not appear instantly...but will wait for the 14 days (again) before I contact them. Very strange that some do and most don't.
