Woolworths gift card thread

I bought 2 x lots. First lot credited automatically but the second hasn’t. Apparently it can take up to 14 days to hit your account. Keep your receipt and give them a call if it doesn’t happen

I also bought some which didn't credit immediately either. To be honest, cancelling the order and restarting after the cashier has had to approve everything umpteen times with everyone in the queue behind you/at the self serve breathing down your neck is as much of a hassle as chasing them after 14 days - so I just went with that.

In my past experience I've never had to chase (one of the reasons they're a compelling option). But I've never bought variable cards, only fixed value ones.

Edit: I'm pretty sure I've had variable value apple ones credit instantly.

I bought variable ones so perhaps that's the issue...

(I too have bought Apple variables and they credited instantly. They have been the only cards to ever credit instantly for me though.)

I posted this in the Targetted offers thread but maybe it is a general offer. 3.3% return is less than the RACQ discount.

Bought 10x $100 gift cards yesterday at Woolworths Metro but no bonus was credited. Should i go back to the store or ring Everyday Rewards?

Bought some $200 cards previous day at different Woolworths Metro and those were fine.

I'd contact Everyday Rewards now.

I too spoke to EDR live chat. The agent said they were aware that the points were not crediting automatically and that they would have to wait the 14 business days before manually crediting them. He left a note on my account to do it himself on the 15th day and even told me the date. I said that i was going to be making three more purchases over the coming three days and would it be possible to add an additional note to cover those as well and he said that wouldn't be a problem he'd look after it himself. So here's hoping! Otherwise it will be another long wait for EDR chat.

(So I wouldn't hold your breath that they will credit within the 14 days by the way my agent was talking.)
Frustratingly, they didn't credit! I ran EDR and there's a recorded message letting people know that their staff have been inundated with calls from missing points. This, they say, is due to a system error last week and they are working on it.

Well I need the points credited before the 31st to reach Points Club Plus so I persisted with the call. The operator took one look at my account and laughed and said "Wow, you're good! That's a LOT of points." (I bought $10k worth of vouchers over 4 days!)

She put me back on hold, credited two days' worth and said that tomorrow she will credit the other two days' worth because they will both hit their 14 business days then (without me needing to call back). She told me that all she'd be doing tomorrow was crediting people's missing points. Sounds like a nightmare.

5mins later: just checked my EDR account and she credited them in 2k amounts totally 58K instead of 50k. So will have to check tomorrow evening to see if everything's in order! Perhaps there was some genuine "good will" (love that they credit into the account with a note saying it's good will when it's their fault they haven't gone through in the first place!)

I'm hoping to use the TCN gift cards at JB HiFi (which seems like a common option here)
The item I want to buy is out of stock locally, so does anyone know of a way to use these gift cards online at JB? Wondering whether I can go into the local JB HiFi and buy their gift cards using the TCN gift cards as a workaround... unless there's an easier trick I'm missing
