Woolworths gift card thread

Word on the street is people went to coles and stole the unactivated cards and went to woolies to activate them.

And this is why on open forums like this you can see why we shouldnt talk about certain things or asking obvious questions. -.-

Stole from Big W is what I hear. Hope that in this case they are traceable via the unique card number as this is theft.

I think it is more that WOW have themselves noticed that they have sold more items than their stock control shows that they had.

That's crazy that people would willingly do that.

I suppose the world is made up of a variety of people!

e
xactly,
all for $9.50 odd profit per card

take 10, thats $95

is it really worth it getting a criminal record/warning

The offer was just too good for those with mouldable integrity to resist. If the offer were 5k instead of 10k probably wouldn't have been as big an issue. Shame as it will proabably put WW off doing similar again

I have seen the term inception used a few times in threads and I know what it means in English but what do you guys mean by it? The first use of the card?

Ive been trying to work this out too!
Went to country SA store saturday morning they had none. Back in same store approx 3 hrs later and they had restocked.

Unlikely. This type of offer has been available previous and similar gaps in the system have also been present. They don't seem to learn at all.

Do you throw away the cards immediately after use or do you keep them just in case?
I keep scans of the cards, receipts and activation receipts, but this is more for ATO concern.

I hope so too, but for some reason I doubt it. There would be a huge number of line items that cross over Big W, woolworths and other group stores and they probably share supply chains for synergy...

I was told by one supermarket that doing that would not work. Have they reported back that they had no problem?

Re: the $105.26 method, I was wondering how long it would take for this to surface. Has been on OzB for a few days but is truly inception if there ever was. I wonder how long it will be until WOW BELLA VISTA block 4645-560 visas..

How are you purchasing the card for this value? I'm unable to manually enter any amount, only seem to be able to select one of the drop down values.

you can only select value if you buy from ashRewards site, usually i bought from EntertainmentBook and it only let us select pre-defined value ($100, $250, $500)
