Personally I'd use my Edge for 315 points per card but many will like the 'free' cash without having to find somewhere to spend the cards.
Paradoxically, this offer is 'too good'. Its such a no-brainer that the GCs will disappear with people not taking maximum advantage

Oh I will be using my edge (and via discounted wish)...however I thought EDR automatically applies award in $10 increments when you have so in your account? Im not hugely familiar with the EDR program.

i'll be taking the points: ~3000 MR plus 8700 QFF. after wish discounts, total cost is approx $6.50.

what do you mean by free cash?
and gcs disappearing meaing that they will sell out ? or woolworths wont be stocking any more?

Assuming the 2,000 bonus points is per gift card (and for simplicity will exclude discounted wish cards), does the EDR reward work something like....

1st card purchased costs $105.95 w 2,000 EDR earnt
2nd card purchased costs $95.95 ($10 applied from above) w 2,000 EDR earnt
....and so on?

that would be the best for me, as I was thinking about unlinking my qff account as 2000 pts =870 bts, I think the $10 is better than 870 pts, as essentially im buying the qff points, a straigth $10 cash discount would be the most ideal

In anticipation of Wednesday I checked 3 Woolworths stores for stocks of the VISA ONLY $100 cards.

2 stores had no $100 cards (although had many $50 cards).

1 store had around 100 cards.

So much for those that had ostentatiously claimed that there was little to no difference between the types and varieties of gift cards stocked by different stores (I recall that one person claimed that 3 stores were "IDENTICAL" in their offerings). Clearly that was absurd.

I don't think anyone including me said they were all the same. I was more referring to the lineup. If they've sold out then that's just bad luck. As someone mentioned a few posts back they were told the gift card rep stocks monthly

Sorry, I misunderstood and thought you were referring to using GC2 to buy GC1 etc. You can set up the EDR to not cashout immediately (either by selecting QF points temporarily or by 'saving WW points' or something)

The advertisement is not that clear. is it a one off 2000 bonus points when you buy $100 gift card, or 2000 points per $100 gift card.

I think people buy them with 5% wishcards cause at 60cents per 300 MR, it is still worth it

hmmm that got me thinking,

maybe people are taking the ohysical cards home, not paying for them, as they have no value,

coming back on promo day and activting them then!!!

There was a bit of discussion on whether this was shoplifting a while back. No clear consensus but I for one wouldn't recommend it

i wouldnt do it either,

having value or not, is still not an excuse for walking out with something,
im sure walking about with a stack of the shopping bags, theyre not going to simply say have a nice day

plus they will probably put you on the black list and everyt ime youvisit the store in teh future, you'll be watched

so if you do go and buy legit cards it neh futre, imagine having security breathing down your neck,

simply not worht it!

See my post 58. They don't get them in the first place. Some places in other states get 100s, we mostly get none.
