Woolworths gift card thread

Wish e-giftcard to Physical Wish gift card doesn't cost anything. But you will need the assistance from the cashiers because they need to enter the value onto the card

Thanks - that is helpful to know.

has anyone else experienced delayed egiftcard emails?
two times this week I've had to call them because I didn't receive the email within 48hours. It used to be just 2-3 hours on weekdays..

Purchased one on Saturday 16/09/17 and received the email within 2hrs.

purchased 1x $500 yesterday on 17/09 and got it within 2-3hrs as well

Hi all

I’ve just finished reading all 70 pages of this thread!

I’m particularly interested in using the 5% discount to purchase flight centre gift cards for an upcoming flight I am booking. Has anyone used the gift cards in conjunction with their price match offer? I assume that these are treated as “cash” for the purposes of the price comparison?

I went to my local WW today and they only have $200 vouchers (plus $6.95 activation fee). Does anyone know if WW sell higher denominations? The $6.95 eats most of the discount saving (currently don’t have an Amex plat edge so mostly interested in cost saving right now).

Thanks!

Also eftpos cards are getting cleaned out at the 4 surrounding woolworths near me, competition is fierce..
Attempted to purchase last Thurs night. Tried 4 times over about 3 hours but link from NRMA kept timing out.
Friday morning was ok and received egift card within normal 3 hours.

However there has been a change on the site requiring catpcha code so maybe there was site work happening Thursday.

I spoke too soon! Now 48 hours plus since I made a purchase with no egiftcards received yet.

My last order took >48h and needed an online chase. Always in under 12h previously and usually quicker.

Reply said lots of demand. Am concerned that increasing usage may paradoxically shut the avenue down

I have been buying these for a while. Mainly it has been quick. BUT randomly it sometime takes two days.

I tend to think it as they manually check all orders, that they probably only have a small team and so whenever a burst of orders coinciding a delay then results.

I do not think that demand will shut down the issuing of these. However demand may curtail how they are currently used by many, as inevitably such manufactured spend becomes a flood and then the method gets shut down. This has happened to virtually every method of manufactured spend that comes along. Some like the ATO have survived, but is dying a death of a thousand cuts and what can be manufactured there is now more costly.

Ordered Monday early afternoon, received email mid afternoon same day.

Amount 1/3rd of last order but still 4 figures.

So I had a call from the gift card team about my order earlier today. They just wanted to confirm I had indeed placed the order as when verifying my details with my cc provider there was a difference in contact details. Anyway, all sorted now so should get them shortly.

So how hard would it be for someone to start their own woolies affiliate website for aff members and try and offer more than the 5% egift card discount??

Says the limit is 10.

What may be a better question is if you buy 10 x the perfect gift cards can you use those 10 x $10 rebel e-gift cards you would get in one transaction or is it only one $10 rebel e-gift card per transaction? I'm thinking the later is likely. This means the $10 rebel e-gift card will have little value for me.
