Woolworths gift card thread

Double checked at the local. All the signs are up about the offer and they have spread out the $50 cards to be next to the signage. Zero $100's on offer

For those that are saying someone cleaned the shop out in the morning it's possible that the shop never had any

A local one of mine hasn't had them for a week so either it was never stocked ot Staff took them before the promo

What's the point of putting up the flyers when they have no stock? False advertising, call ACCC

Also during the $88 promo they sold out really really quickly

It would be like a dream come true if each store had boxes and boxes of it and they'd just replenish when they ran out. Since it's a non perishable and the cost is minimal for the plastic and cardboard

The early bird gets the worm!

Pretty much. I went out last time to get the $88 cards at 7am on the dot when no one was buying and as the store opened they had like 200. This time I can't be bothered'ed Still got a lot from the Coles offer, and these expire 1 year as well.

hehe

Just checked at Metcenter Sydney CBD store. Heaps of $50 in stock. Attendant said that's all they had and never had supply of $100s.
Glad I know not to try Town Hall.
Small store on York Street had none either.
Back to the office empty handed for me.

False advertising, call ACCC

Not false advertising at all.

Catalogue specifically states 'not all products on this page available at all stores.'

I've seen over 500 cards available so far today in the stores I have visited.

Increase your search radius is my advice. I'd be searching the suburbs, not the city.

Like others I can confirm that WISH cards can be used to purchase the VISA ONLY cards.

In addition I can also report that the $88 EFTPOS cards from the recent offering can also be used, making inception even easier to achieve.

Thanks for reporting re the $88 EFTPOS cards Dr Ralph. Was about to post to ask. I have a few cards with small values - so this is a good way of consolidating onto a more versatile card and furthering the discount.

I'll be doing the same.

But I also have at least 50 $88 cards left so intend to convert about half of these. They haven't been as easy to spend as the Coles Prepaid Mastercard.

Checked lane cove, crows nest and chatswood none of them had $100, only $50. Starting to think sydney is either really competitive or just no stock.
Really? You didnt look properly! I just went to crowsnest despite you saying none, and I found 12 x $100 cards, used egift card to pay and using attendant to do it for me and all was good! :)

None at Indooroopilly. Someone came and cleaned the store out this morning. Heaps apparently. They won't be getting any more in stock anytime soon. There are heaps of $50 gift cards.

Sick and tired of the greedy minority who spoil it for everyone else. I will play their game.

Sorry I disagree to what you say

It is an open game, if store opens at 7am, why didnt you go there at 7am? Early bird gets the worm.
Simialr to sydney house prices or Australia house prices. People are sick and tired of it, they should have bought way back when.

These people are not greedy they are winners because they get their stuff in and done early...

Agree. If you can't be organised then expect to miss out and don't whinge about it. The reality is that these cards were always going to be difficult to find. You needed to be scouting for these cards on Sunday when I made the announcement to the forum. You then needed to be at the store when it opened this morning.

There's no excuse for laziness when it comes to these lucrative offers. Play the game!

You can disagree. I can't be there at 7:00am this morning.

But you are right. It's an open game. I will play the game and I will be ready before 7:00am next time and go at my leisure to claim my rightful prize....

Besides, this offer was only for 10 cards. They may still re stock, just keep an eye on it. Those who have the 10 already are probably out of the game now.
