Just bought some gift cards, but store clerk mentioned that Woolworth is looking into forbidding eGfit card to buy giftcards in 2018.
Hmm.

This potential + the increase fee on theperfectgiftcard should encourage people to go hard now!

FYI: Used 35 x theperfectgiftcard over the past 20 days at my local council to pay my rates for the year. No problem at all, except a lot of staff that clearly had never seen these cards before.

My local WOW has very high gift card turnover. Not. They're almost out of the $88 Chinese New Year ones.

At the current rates I won't see the higher activation fee until 2024

I was just thiking about getting about $30,000 of Wish Gift Cards for Christmas. I changed my Amex Platinum Edge CC credit limit off my Amex Ultimate as they thought I was at the combined limits in Australia. Do I get 85,500 points for this?
I never talk to them about my US Amex.........

trouble with those eftops cards is one has to go to post office to dump unused portions.. whilst visa 1 only gift cards I can dump $1.01 into my telstra internet account visa checkouts. Luckily my local post office has self-checkout and at least open on a saturday morning.

I spend small amounts at self checkout machines at Coles and Woolies. There is no need to visit the post office.

Agreed, I go into Coles with 10 in hand with all small amounts on them and use the self serve to make my purchases

3 months this year spent in the US. Business class flights + 80% of accommodation all covered by points says it's worth it

I should've phrased my comment better, as I can't buy more than 4/person/day it's not a good use of my time, both my local stores are strict

Try different stores is my advice. They all seem to make their own rules. Most of which I ignore But hey I like to argue, especially when I know they are making things up as they go along!

In May 2017 at Service NSW Botany I could split for rego but there was a maximum of 3 cards.
In September at Service NSW Marrikville I paid fine over 3 cards.
Couldn't split online.

I last purchased WISH card with my DJ's AMEX card on 6/10. Received 3 x points.

I last purchased WISH card with my Westpac AMEX Black card 22/10. Received 1 x QFF points which was as expected.

I buy WW egift cards via NRMA.
Transaction normally pending for a couple of days before clearing. Points post during the "pending" time frame.

This week purchase was pending less than 24 hours but points took 3 days to post.

I bought one on 19/10 via cashrewards using platinum edge and it did come through at 3ppd
