Woolworths gift card thread

Spoke to Amex. CS on the phone said they are not sure why and as far as he is aware. There has not been a change in policy. Manager will check and get back to me.

I'm not normally a person that audits my points earnings. Happen to just be browsing around the new Amex interface. Glad I caught it

600/1000/2000 points on offer for a variety of cards including DJ’s based on spends of 30/50/100 dollars. Limit 10 per customer

Managed to pick up 30 cards today for 60k WOW reward points across 3 different accounts. Don’t have any others linked to QFF and assuming I wouldn’t be able to go back to the well and pick up more on the cards already used.

Can anybody confirm?

The last Myer giftcard promotion, the 10 card limit was not enforced by staff nor by their POS system. I doubt it is enforced for this promotion. It is easy to try, just swipe a giftcard then your wow reward card and press 'pay now' and see if there is a prompt saying you've earned any bonus points.

Don't know if it's common knowledge but the perfect gift cards(eftpos) are now $6.95 for activation
There still seems to be a fair bit of the old stock around though.

Was reported by a number of people following the recent Rebel $10 voucher promotion. That promotion appeared designed to make sure existing $5.95 fee stock was used up.

I bought $23,000 Woolies gift cards thru RACWA in the last fortnight using Amex Platinum Edge. I guess I love buying fuel at Caltex double dipping the Woolies reward card with the 5% off discount card on a Monday gets tabout 11 cents off 98 Octane. Nets out at $1.24 less GST so it is less painful.

That is a lot of petrol. Do you have your own Gulfstream?

The Gulfsteam is for my 117th birthday and the plane will be only 50 years old.
We had a work need so I get the points off the credit card is a bit more realistic answer.

Can anyone recommend somewhere in Sydney where you can still buy Only1 gift cards at self checkouts? PM if you don't want to make it public

Does anybody know if the new self serve systems still have the $500 limit?

You still need supervisor swipe for 1 card so if you could do more in one transaction that would be sweet

I used one of the new POS systems last week. Every Visa1 you can it brings up a pop up message that you’ll need to supervisor to be with you at payment to verify that the card has been activated. Quite a pain. Wouldn’t want to be there at peak time. They’re mostly good natured about it but would stress them out if it’s busy and you’re holding the terminal up.

Yes that's true but if your system is the same as mine. Then every card comes up with that msg which can click OK and it will go onto the next card.
Supervisor is required at the end when you click on pay.

I've been doing 4 out of habit but if you could do 10 that would be far easier

I put on my work uniform and buy a bunch at the actual check out aisle. No one bats an eyelid - 'buying it for staff @ work for company spend'

I don't bother going to self serve anymore

Anyone else having trouble checking their WISH card balance online?

I get the following:

"Error processing your request.
Please check your details and try again."

Disregard. Seems to have been temporary.

Sad to report that one of our local Ws has fallen to the self-serve update.

It seems so much slower than previously for the attendant to clear the issue. There was a delay of at least 4-5 seconds per instruction/action before the next could be done by the attendant.

Seems like the idea may have come from the same consultants behind some of Q's enhancements!
