5 x $500 is still $2500. And this just isn't going to be approved easily in any store. Best potential would be to buy these and then use them t o purchase the Coles Vanilla cards also on special this week. From Wednesday March 22:
Note the reduced maximum of 5 cards per transaction.

Yes, not a good idea to go over $2k at a register, unless you really want to meet the managerThink you're getting scammed or something?
Should be able to update in about 30 mins, if they have any on the rackKeen to hear of any reports of whether the points are awarded instantly for the perfect gift card variable load cards.
I tried to buy 4 x $500 Everywhere cards last Saturday night but was told a $2000 purchase required manager approval and no manager was available. I was able to buy 3 ($1500) in one transaction. They offered to sell me the fourth in another transaction but I declined as bonus points are only awarded on one transaction per day (I went back Sunday morning to get it). I did wonder later whether I should have asked for the fourth card to be loaded with $499 so that the total of the transaction was $1999.Yes, not a good idea to go over $2k at a register, unless you really want to meet the manager
Not for me just now. I only remembered to check halfway through my 5 x $500 purchase and saw that the points hadn't awarded automatically. Manager dude said I'd have to call up.Keen to hear of any reports of whether the points are awarded instantly for the perfect gift card variable load cards.
Just shows how effective the control is doesn't it.... WW advertise up to 2.5k in one txn but have a quiet up to 2k policy before manager approval, but can split it into multiple transactions to avoid it.They offered to sell me the fourth in another transaction

I get the reason behind it and don't want people to be victimised by scammers, maybe what we need is an "I know what I'm doing" card for us regulars
I've seen that in the T&C's but it has never been enforced for me, I regularly do multiple purchases in a day. Would be interested if it's ever been an issue for anyonePoints would only be awarded on the first transaction for that day.
Nope.Keen to hear of any reports of whether the points are awarded instantly for the perfect gift card variable load cards.
Definitely enforced for the last ultimate card deal.I've seen that in the T&C's but it has never been enforced for me, I regularly do multiple purchases in a day. Would be interested if it's ever been an issue for anyone

Yes, agree with the good Dr. Despite my refunds posted above, full points credited on the first purchase, only base points on the second.Definitely enforced for the last ultimate card deal.

Really? Last time I asked about this the consensus was not enforced:It's always been enforced IME.
My purchase at that time was done in one transaction, albeit with severe labour pains, but @Dr Ralph seems to have had points credited for multiple transactions on the same day then.Really? Last time I asked about this the consensus was not enforced:
Woolworths gift card thread
My purchase of 4 x $500 cards required the attention/intervention/approval of four staff members. Took 15mins. Points posted within an hour. I went to buy 4 more. Despite above warnings tried to buy all in one go 30 minutes later (register crashed, manager had to be called at home to...www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au
I do however absolutely concur that due to the breakdown of the automated crediting of points at EDR, we are probably in a very different position now
