Worse than feet on bulkheads

I am far more offended by people sitting in bulkhead seats reclining when they have more room than anyone else, than by those people putting their feet up on the bulkhead.....but that's just me and a whole other story!

I was on a 2.5 hour QF flight this afternoon, in row 9 and I kid you not, I did not see anyone in front of me recline! People must be listening to you ... or JohnK! ;)

FWIW - IMHO - this thread is degenerating to a level way beneath the norm of the usual AFF family concept. As always YMMV.

Comment duly noted and I thank you for that. I'll shut up. I think everyone has a pretty reasonable idea of my opinion!

Yes you are right. In fact one thing that is perhaps "worse than feet on bulkheads" is having a heated argument about it .... :p ;) :erm:

And sorry for the below the belt comment above with the reference to people hogging all the Krug .... :).

Yes - but often it is the same sort of overcompensating personality type that does both. They deserve our pity rather than our scorn, so next time I won't jam the in-flight magazine into their reclining mechanism. Promise!

That easy to do? You have instructions ?

it's a bit hit and miss depending on the seat, to be honest. At best it delays or cushions against violent recliners, and I find it easier just to "steady" the back of the seat in front of me by putting my hand beside the screen. Helps maintain the focal distance as my eyesight is quite poor.

Of course I would never do such a thing when not appropriate ... so if the meal service has been cleared away and they have their IFE screen off and the cabin lights are dimmed and the flight is over 4 hours .... well of course they can recline their seat. Unless they have placed their feet on the bulkhead - then they can bite me.

Hmm I wonder which is worse?. Shoe bogan a bit below sock bogan. And which one is below waist level?. Can I assume socks are clean?
I sat at the aisle bulkhead with the only toilet in that part of the cabin in front of me. There was always someone lined up to use the toilet. You'd be surprised the number of people who use the toilets without shoes wearing only socks.

If anyone sees me sitting in my chair in socks, yes, they are clean socks/newly washed and put on only for the flight (I wear slippers when walking around)

That's not anti-social, that's just plain ridiculous, I don't ever recall too much of that going on. I am sure there are exceptions. The vast vast majority of people with their feet on bulkheads have them at or below waist height....
See my latest photo. That's above waist height. I have seen some women with their feet above head height. I think they have zoned themselves out of reality.

The one with all the money....

Had an entire family tried to occupy the exit row seats (2 adult women, 3 children) and it took a while for the FA to get them to understand that those seats might have been sold to someone else and since they had children, they could not occupy such a seat as they could not fulfil the duties that might be required of them.
They filled the row with everything from hand luggage to carry-ons, food etc. And I really do hate it when people hog food just because its free, and one of the ladies were sitting on 4 yogurts that all had to go in the bin as they were left behind. Guess I am just a bit peeved off this morning or things like this would just not really bother me. But it might just be the disrespect of things and other people, rather then anything else.

When you say 'free food' where did it come from? If it was part of the meal it would have been discarded regardless. Or did they ask for extras and then discard? (although I'm not sure of the shelf life of that anyway)

It was not part of the meal, but it did come from the FA, they asked for extra yogurt, every kind available. And after she gave it to them it was just sitting there on the table.
According to food safety it has to be discarded after being out of a fridge for so long as it is deemed not safe anymore. I would assume that the airline has to work by the same Australian Food Safety regulations.

I trust we can all agree that this is worse than feet on bulkheads:

A British tourist has been fined £3,000 after he defecated on the runway of an Italian airport after stepping off a Ryanair flight from Manchester.

Puts a new slant on FOD.
