Worse than feet on bulkheads

While throwing trash on the floor is unacceptable, there are a lot of things these days which some people are deeming rude even when fairly innocuous. The skill is being able to ignore those things which don't impact us.

And then there's the opposite. Things that I don't care about, and I'm sure a vast amount of the population don't either, being shoved down my neck on a daily basis.

First for everything. Just witnessed an idiot joke about a bomb in HL and gets all upset about the FA telling the captain and getting offloaded

Heading home from MEL to BNE on Thursday afternoon when Richard Wilkins comes around the corner, black suit, sunnies on his head, nothing else in his possession and plonks himself down in 1A. I'm in 2D so can hear him make some kind of apology to the young lady already in 1C about being exhausted blah blah blah then look over and his shoes are off and his socked feet are up on the bulkhead magazine pocket thing. I thought of this thread straight away. So tempted to take a photo...

We met Wilkins at some music function, he kept calling my husband, introducing him to others as George. George is nowhere near my husbands name.

Lots of things impact us.

e.g. Walked into train carriage yesterday evening and young(ish) lass sitting by herself in the 4 seater in a largely empty carriage. Her feet are up in the seat in front with the soles of her sneakers resting against the upper part of the front of the seat and lower part of the seat. The foam was compressed and her soles would have covered a reasonable size area.

The soles of her sneakers could be clean but generally not clean. Could have picked up any number of germs and left them behind. Other people will sit there. Kids will be around.

I struggle to understand why people think it's ok to put their shoes anywhere they want. Recently I saw a middle aged adult press the walk button at the traffic lights with the soles of his shoe and laughing about it. Sorry but that's not funny and is actually disgusting.

When out in public behave the way othervoeople expect you to behave not the way you think you should behave. Very simple concept.

I've had a girl cutting her toenails on a train in Melbourne before, on the way into the city on a Saturday night. Charming.

That photo is disgusting. The person with their feet on the headrest is disgusting. There is no doubt.

It's not just a lack of respect for Thai culture. It's a lack of respect for humanity in general.

It would be wrong to light up your cigarette under her toes wouldn't it???

PS. I've never smoked a day in my life :)

Just a follow up question for crew/pilots. Is there a protocol in place for what checks are done after the pax is off the plane? ie. what if they left HL or other items on board and how do they work out if they left something on board? One of the pax being offloaded actually left his laptop in the seatpocket and this was only pointed out by another passenger after the door was closed.

Considering how dangerous laptops are these days (According to the UK/US) and the comment made the pax about a bomb. Our plane could have taken off with a laptop left behind by an offloaded passenger who made a comment about explosives if it was not for an eagle eyed/paranoid passenger.

So this was a CX flight in Y+ a few days ago. Was sitting in a middle bulkhead and instantly thought of this thread.
Which of these is OK?
Interestingly there were 2 babies across the aisle who were crying and so forth before we had even taken off. Their two dads were doing their best to calm the children down. The guy on the left kept either recording or taking photos of the babies with a look of disgust no doubt uploading it to social media or a friend to complain about.

I occasionally do what the person on the right does (With flight socks) to stretch out for 10 mins or so and when the cabin lights are off. I hope that is not frowned upon
