Worse than feet on bulkheads

Fair point about them being senior citizens, I wouldn't be too bothered about that.

It's just a touchy subject as I see far too many people using disabled bays that are not disabled and I don't mind asking them what their disability is.

Asking is not the solution either. Some do have disabilities and the driver is the escort not the affected party.

Asking is the only solution, how else would you be able to tell if someone is transporting someone with a disability or someone taking advantage.

Feel free to google ashy bines who was recently called out on parking in a disabled spot at her gym.

My brother has used an accrod sticker for over 20 years and has never had a problem being questioned for parking in a disabled bay.

The same also goes for the mother's with pram parking, I've questioned many that don't seem to even have kids, let alone prams.

Ask away people and shame the hell out of the assholes that abuse the the situation.

I meant that medical conditions are private personal confidential conditions and not a topic to be discussed at the parking lot with a random person of questionable intent or qualifications.

With the Australian media as they are, it's a good idea to remember there's always more to the story than first appears or is revealed. This is especially true in the age of social media with the rampant desire of the public to shame others for no more reason than to gain clicks/likes/reshares to big up their own perceived importance in their narcissistic world. I don't know what the full story might be here, but I'm willing to give the passenger the benefit of the doubt.

Interesting flight home in row 4 last night. Should there be an unwritten rule about respecting row 4?

Pax next to me last night i watched him text as we came into land. At first I thought he was just queuing them up for when we land. But when he got a reply just before we touchdown i peered over and saw Telstra and his service bars.

Pax across the aisle had to be told 3 times to put her laptop away. Eventually the CSM gave her some talking to before she eventually put it away. Wish i didnt have my qc20's on so i could have heard it. When getting off the pax avoided eye contact with the csm at the door who just looked at her waiting for acknowledgment. A few seconds later as i was walking up the air bridge the cms come up calling "excuse me ma'am". After several times the pax who has eyephones in stops. The csm say "excuse me ma'am you are expected to comply with our requests". Pax responds "i did comply". Csm says that she is going to have to file a report about this.
Do you think something will come of this? Or is it just something that will get noted and never see the light of day?

I thought the airlines had finally acknowledged the truth that mobile phone EMF doesn't in fact interfere with instruments or cause squelch in the ears of pilots and that they are perfectly safe to use in flight. I thought this change in policy was made a little while back when the American Airlines adjusted their policy on the issue too? As I understood it, this was yet another example of overactive OH&S banning something they didn't understand based on conjecture, assumption and internet myth. Just as using a mobile phone at a service station would cause a massive fireball too. Remember that one? Didn't matter at all there had never been a single example of a mobile phone igniting petrol fumes at a petrol station anywhere in the world, OH&S said it had to be banned based on nothing at all.

That's what the little button on the side of the microphone is for. Press it and the noise cancelling is reduced to half effectivness so you can hear nearby conversations in the 1kHz frequency spectrum of human voice whilst still having noise in lower frequencies cancelled[/quote]

After several times the pax who has eyephones in stops.
The pax had WHAT in now?

I should add that my qc20's are showing their age so the button doesnt do anyting anymore.
I hear that! I think mine is on the same way. The button is starting to feel like your power button on your iPhone when it's worn out & needs replacement. Doesn't have that positive tactile 'click' anymore. Just feels spongey. I think the microphone gets filled up with sweat and body hair and toe-jam. You might try carefully prising it open and seeing if it can be cleaned with some electrical contact cleaner.

A bloke (travelling alone) in the Qantas club just put 5 peaches into his bag. I wonder if he’ll go back and load up on ham to make a cheap Christmas.

And another 5 peaches just went in, or was that 6

Isnt there still domestic quarantine restrictions on that kind of stuff (fruits and vegetables) or is that just one of those announcements that gets made.
