Y passengers using J overhead bins

Really has your carry on ever been at the other end of the plane ?
Numerous times I have seen people's carry on ending up quite a considerable distance from them, which in turn slows down the disembarking process quite considerably.

Ouch, hit a raw nerve there.
What makes this forum so valuable is that we all have different thoughts on how we like to do things. Sometimes the why is important and sometimes not, however what is important that we accept that the values and reasons of others can be very different different to our own. As such it is then not acceptable to put down others for disagreeing with, or having different ideas to our own.

No one has mentioned the stupid design of the ageing cabin interior with some of the worst cabin hold design I've ever seen across the old QF fleet. The size of QF overhead bins is a joke. This is no excuse for Y pax dumping their bags in J (I've never done it) but QF must help the situation by updating the cabins.

Eg. The 787 has some pretty sweet cabin space

I was fortunate enough to have a walk through of the 787 courtesy of QF. The bins are impressive, but they severely interfere with the ability to access the window and middle seats.

No different to the interference on a 737, which people tolerate quite well, and coincidently on the blue sky interior versions, has bins with similar capabilities.
