You know you are a frequent flyer when ...

... you go to a meeting under the approach to MEL and keep getting distracted trying to work out where the flight is from the engine sound and time of day.

I can tell how late for work I am by glancing up at QF94's position in the sky.

Okay, not really since it tends to be arriving at a different time each day. But still, highly distracting on my morning ride!

Me too! Usually as I'm coming off the freeway if I'm on time.

Watching it closely as it turns around as my flight tomorrow ... currently due in 6:40am ...

Maybe not exactly flying but related..when hotel room pens no longer hold any special attraction.

I think collecting pens is a great idea. My favourite is the white Burj Al Arab one I asked for when having afternoon tea and signing the bill.

I like the pink Langham ones

Mine is the Sofitel pen.

When we were tossing up routes/airlines for next years trip, I may have uttered the following statement:
"I don't need to fly Emirates F, I don't like Dom that much anyway":oops::mrgreen:

Sorry for going OT:

You know you are a frequent flyer when ....... your roller bag weighs a couple kilograms heavier than it should as a result of your kleptomaniac activities in lifting hotel pens wherever / whenever you see them!

Waldorf Astoria Shanghai are also beautiful heavy pens that just feel 'right' and also write beautifully:

They look the same as Conrad (Dubai) pens I got few weeks ago. Much nicer than those cheap thin ones.

After each overseas trip I bring home a stack of new pens (on top of hotels amenities, airline amenity kits, pyjamas and all kinds of toy animals). The missus thinks I'm a bit crazy, especially when I always use the same pen.
Now I can tell her it's a normal frequent flyers thing :p

When you're in a taxi, and at the end of your journey you wait for the seatbelt sign to go out before taking off your seatbelt!

Impossible really ?

New addition? When I was there, they were the same as the Hilton pens, only white with Conrad on them!

(Same topic.....You know you are a frequent flyer when....you can identify the pens gifted by an individual hotel from 18months ago)
