This is a bit cheeky of QF IMHO. I assume the operating carrier gets the lions share of the revenue in the QF/EK partnership so it makes it worthwhile for QF to have a go. I have never heard of this happening before in any codeshare agreement.
If I was EK, I would be having some 'words' to my QF 'partners'.
As mick points out, EK did far more early on in the partnership, as was reported here on numerous occasions.
Does seem odd if there's no changes to EK's flights though.
