My prediction is that at some point tonight Woolworths are going to be sending out lots of targeted offers to welcome in their new rewards program.

Please tell us about any offers your receive and whether you think they will be useful to you.

I'd love an email that offered me $5 in bonus Woolworths dollars for spending $30 on almost anything from Woolworths. How close do you think I am to the offers that will eventuate?

I look at this as being probably the same end result as with Amex Mileage Rewards mainly switching from Point Promos to Cash-back Promos, and that is that I will gain a lot, lot, less in effective value.

Yes the Amex Cash-back saves me several hundred dollars per year. But I used to gain $30-50K worth of tickets per year in a bad year from Point Running on Amex Promos.

Now admitedlly WOW Everday QFF was no wear as lucrative as the Amex MR was, but is was nice bonus for not much effort and no additional spend. I am expecting to be a loser in the switch. Average Joes who don't know how to arbitrage with FF will probably gain more.

Not Happy Jan!

We haven't received anything yet on any of the family member accounts. Perhaps they'll send things first thing tomorrow morning.

Haven't received anything either. I logged into my account last night and they had some of the catalogue specials listed as well as around 20 "orange ticket" items that were supposedly selected as being of interest to me - I've only ever bought one of the items listed, and just about all of the others were items that I have absolutely no interest in, and some were just ridiculous i.e. Hubby Pull-Up Pants - I don't have children or grandchildren and have NEVER purchased baby/toddler-related items at either Woolies or Big W. Don't know where they're getting their data from, but huge fail so far.

Nothing so far but then I am not expecting anything exciting.

Not interested in orange sticker items. Not interested in soneone trying to alter my spending habits.

If you want to engage me then give me discounts off my total shopping not discounts off overpriced high mark-up items.

Logged on to the new Woolworths Rewards website, and noticed something interesting under specials. Do I pay $12 for Mainland Tasty Cheese and get $0.50 in rewards, or the special price of $9.50 (with no rewards)?

I hope someone from Choice or the ACCC sees this...

Have just done some shopping at Woolworths this morning and from what I can tell, you would pay the special price AND get the 50 cent reward. I noticed they still have the Nanna's frozen fruit on special at $7 and the tag on those shelves clearly showed the price at $7 with $1 in Woolworths Dollars as well.

Someone's obviously stuffed up with what's being displayed on your account (and many others) by showing the same product twice, at the full as well as the specials price! The Woolworths website shows the Mainland Tasty Cheese block at $9.50 with the 50 cent "reward" displayed underneath.

I confess, I got the timing wrong. I still haven't seen any targeted offers based specifically around the new loyalty scheme.

I've looked at the base Woolworths dollars products and haven't found many products that I would buy. Of the products I do buy, only one is at the price point that I would buy it and unfortunately I only buy this product once or twice a year.

The only way this loyalty program will be useful to me is if they bring out decent targeted offers which reward you for shopping, regardless of what products you buy.

I'm still waiting Woolworths. Get your act together and show us the new targeted offers system.

woolies are going to have to do something drastic very quickly - huge downgrade in profit forecast today (36%) and their share price is getting slammed today

Well, I had a good look for orange sticker items and there were precious few, and certainly none on products that I normally buy.
Heaps of specials (more than normal IMO).

There was one bonus though. I have a client who needed new printer cartridges (the technologically challenged). By a stroke of luck, Woolies had the model I wanted, at $25 with a huge $5 Woolies Dollars. And I needed 8 of them. And at $25 they were still cheaper than Dick Smith ($26). So my bonus $$ level is quite healthy right now.

Another week gone and still no targeted offers.

I'm planning to go back to Woolworths on Monday or Tuesday. They have at least 3 half price specials which I want to stock up on. I'm not sure whether these specials will appear at Coles in the next few weeks so I want to spend something at Woolworths. At best I'll only get a few QFF points plus my 5% discount using RACV Wish cards. I usually manage to get a much better deal than this when bulk buying half price products.

When taking up half price specials and targeted offers I can usually get 10% to 20% more discount on the goods using the targeted offers on the previous rewards scheme. By bulk purchase I mean anything over $50. Usually no more than $100. Using targeted offers with low targets means I get the best percentage return.

When I went shopping yesterday I didn't even see a single orange sticker, let alone buy any products with one.

When I went shopping yesterday it was at Coles!
Tried out my brand new temporary Flybuys card and earned a few points which will end up in my Etihad Guest account.

Last week I shopped at Woolies - spent $164 and earned 0.50 Woolies Peso's (and 134 QFF points).
Come January, I will only go to Woolies for 1/2 price specials - nothing else and they can keep their Peso's!

Oh dear...

Did anyone else just get an email

"you can win $10 off your shop..."

Please anyone report here if they actually win!

I haven't shopped at woolies since the stupid Woolworths dollars announcement...

Feel sorry for my mum who has to travel 40mins for her nearest non woolies store. she is stuck with this ****!

Both dad and I received the email that we have a chance of winning $10 if we swiped our card at shopping. Hmmm.
