Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Had lunch today at Trustee in PER (location of a couple of AFF gatherings) with my elder son. A reasonable albarino with the starters and this with the chateaubriand for two as the main was very nice:

Followed by a couple of beers at Bob's (after Bob Hawke) Bar above Print Hall in the same precinct:

Hey, PF, what do you think of no. 1 son ?! :)

OMG, retirement is nice when your kids who work away hit town! ;):).

I'm a married woman you know :!:
(However that doesn't mean I can't window shop :p )
Very nice indeed JohnM ;)

:shock::shock: That raises the obvious question: who were the troglodyte males you were in the company of :evil:.

A mature family member. They then raved about said wine when it was actually just a little past its best....

Whilst perhaps not in the league of other wines posted, I am enjoying this tonight with a chicken and mushroom filo. Not as 'earthy' as some Côtes du Rhônes I have had, but still very drinkable.
