Qantas Status Credits Boost

Just had 600 status credits drop into my account as a WP. Membership year ends in March. Anyone else had something similar?

Well as I am sure some of you have now noticed it seems QF have taken some action already and appear to have given those with March and April (anecdotally) dates a "boost" of half the requalification SC's for their tier.

That happened quicker than I expected.

I suspect this may become a rolling thing as membership anniversaries roll over.

Nothing here, but I managed to get an extension to my status. Wouldn't say no to some extra SC, especially if they count towards lifetime... in which case about 60k is all I need

Agree.. and I was going to provide the link to the other thread but people will have seen it. Just thought it was appropriate to mention here.

It would make sense if the boost went to those who had requalified and not auto extended.

I guess until QFF actually send an email or make some sort of formal statement it will be anecdotal ponderrings I guess

Anyway I am happy for those that got them and hope that helps some here unhappy with the situation feel a bit better

Following this with interest. I think realistically given that there will be little or no international travel until at least the second quarter of 2021 this scheme would have to be changed into blanket status extensions.

I have 10 SC total earned since June 1st from Woolies.
Normally by this time I’m sitting on 1000-1200 year ends 31st May.
It’s going to be a hard slog

I'd think so too ... the way I see it, QF might be releasing these status boost starting from those that would've qualified, say, from Mar 2020 and work upwards ... so if your year ends May 2020, you could be hearing from QF re status boost in about 1 month time?

ooooh yea! me too ... I'd think these status boost SC won't help re-qualify P1, but would be eligible for the total lifetime SC tally ...

It would be interesting to see if any QF Gold or QF Silver get the status boost.

If QF Platinum got 600 SC, which is re-qualification for Gold, then I'd assume QF Gold gets 250?

If you got them take a look at your LTG tally and see if its gone up since you last saw

I've checked now on my desktop - yes, it has counted for lifetime credits.

Just to ask, were you of the group that had already requalified for the current year or the group that benefitted from the status extension?

Now those of us who received a 12 month extension to end of January and February 2022 can moan we aren’t getting extra status credits to help our lifetime tally,
(Personally I’ll be lucky to reach LTS before I cut back on flying, so this is rhetorical.)
