In SA's total lockdown last Novermber (not allowed outside the house at all!) The first day we had -1 as one of the cases the previous day that led to the lockdown in part turned out to be a false positive.

It is all this uncertainty, his time in the community and 2 days gap in clarifying his movements that sparked the lockdown (plus, as I've said before, I think out CHO has been just itching to bring on a lockdown ).

I remembered your comment about our CHO "just itching to do something" I wanted to quote it but lacked the necessary stamina to hunt it down. Definitely prescient!
Meanwhile I'm getting texts from TasETravel because I returned from SA this morning. Apparently "New premises in South Australia have been declared high-risk." The excitement never stops!

I live in Perth and didn't notice.

Reports on the ABC suggests it was hundreds, not ten thousand. TBH it seems like a vocal minority of upset people facing imminent retrenchment due to vaccine mandates.

Other than the grand final event, it was probably the busiest the CBD has been in five years.

Yes the Perth CBD has been decimated even further by covid, it’s really sad to see.

I think CBDs generally have tanked, due to work from home rather than any travel restrictions. Workers are the bulk of their denizens.
