My goal is to remain higher daily step average than either my team or organisation. I can certainly fit back into my old sized pants again...

Do we get an Organisation certificate when we hit 10M total step mark?

I guess we'll find out in 2-3 days...

I had a tame day yesterday, getting just over 10,000 but am still sick at the moment ; that being said I'll be hitting the pavement shortly so should be putting in a good total today :p

Nice effort Flashware. That's the spirit :D

You might get a bus/train back though :D, although if you want to try for an AFF record (which I think is around 25K steps), you'll walk back. But that is time consuming :o

It will be a walk back, there will be none of this weak bus / train rabble!

Time isn't an issue ;)

My aim is to get my average over 12,000 per day.

It is a bit challenging on the weekdays since like LW my work is predominantly me sitting on my butt in front of a computer.

The photocopier/printer I have to use is two floors down so I do tend to take the stairs rather than the lift if I have to go collect a printout.

Who will be the first individual to get to 1,000,000 steps :?:

I am currently at 840,487.
I have under 85K to go ... mind you I'm off to WLG soon and my counts tend to dry up when travelling ...

It'll be less than 70K tomorrow - although I've worn out a pair of runners with all this walking to/from the station.

Had 30K+ on Sunday with playing Golf at Drouin ...

Well I suck :(

I've got over 300k to go to hit 1M personal steps for GCC 2010.

Wow, you mustn't have had a good round serfty, that's a lot of walking :p.

I'm on 722,626 steps; so I'll have to have a monumental effort to beet coolumbla, straitman or serfty to the magic 1M mark.

So frustrating to be behind a desk all day and see my step count slow up (we only have a small office). Might go for a walk now with my lunch ...

That's what I started doing. Instead of going to the lunch bar just down the road, I'll walk into Northbridge instead. In fact, near the restaurant you guys went to when you were last over but I was too sick to go to!

Also instead of getting dropped at my office, I've instead gone with my ride into work to their office and walked from there (only a 5-10 min walk).

Well I'm off now for that walk now...30 mins and I should get between 3 and 3.5K (to add to the 8.35K I'm on now).

(Edited to add): Nice call Flashware. Half an hour later and I added another 3.2K steps. I should have been doing this from the start. But I can only do it on days I'm in the office and not seeing clients (as I dress down on those days, plus I have cracked a sweat and unlikely to walk as fast with work shoes on). Should crack 15K easily today :D

.... and I'm going to struggle to make 10K today. :(
