Some scrooge took a dislike to my fairy lights while I was on holidays and snipped the wires. Obviously people have too much free time on their hands if they are worried about a handful of lights in a tree up against my house...

That is not very nice!

Hope Santa arrived nonetheless!

Did Niagara Falls today......a horizontal snow blizzard and a wind chill factor of -25c made it interesting!!

Heading down to the pool and jacuzzi to thaw out......

We are in Boston, the snow is amazing and quite beautiful if a little cold outside (currently -12C).
We are taking refuge inside an Irish bar :D

When do you head home.

Because it is going to be nearly 40's for the next few days around the Sunshine Coast.

Just getting ready to finish work for the last time this year (I'm taking tomorrow off).

It's been a pretty HUGE year for me.

There has been lots of work, lots of flying, lots of drinks, lots of health problems, but there have been some pretty awesome things too - I had some amazing trips, spent time with friends all over the world, have eaten and drunk some excellent food & wine, and have really enjoyed some great times over the course of the year.

Thanks to those I know personally for your friendship over the year, especially tuapekastar who is a legend, and has helped me out a few times this year.

There were a few moments where I didn't think I would make it through the year, but here I am - still alive and kicking with one day to go.

I hope you all have a great evening tomorrow, and look forward to catching up in 2014!

That tuapekastar character is a good friend, I would give him a big wrap as well, you are a good friend as well penegal, you might be 1682 miles away from Perth but a few times you were on the end of the phone when I needed to talk.

There are lot of AFFers that I call friends, I actually spent NYE with one and his family.

Currently sitting in an air conditioned house deciding what to do with my day, I rang Virgin and upgraded my flight to Perth for Monday, I need to change some bookings with Qantas as well but that is going to be a 10 minute phone call and I am going to need a landline for that call.

I am not sure what 2014 is going to bring, sometimes you think you have it all worked out then a new reality hits and you wondered where that came from.

Not a fan of global warming at the moment but I am a fan of airconditioning.

Indeed. Police everywhere in Mexico City. Either the traffic police who were seemingly on every 2nd street corner (and came in very handy after a bad taxi experience), or the federal police who were stationed with riot gear in strategic locations and also seemingly driving around a lot - so much so, a federal police car would seemingly be about one in every 20 cars.

And don't they love driving around with their red & blues on!!

Just drove from Maroochydore to Ormeau and watched the car digital temp go from 33° to 40°

Heading for Montreal tomorrow........and, it's very much colder than Toronto! Right now There is a wind Chill warning issued, temp is -18c with wind chill of -31c expecting to hit -40c later tonight in Ontario:shock:

The wind is something else.......you can feel life leave your body!!!

Land back in BNE on the 14th.

Any others sightseeing?

The only other sight to be seen was me squeezing into the thermal undies that I brought when I was last in Canada.......16 years ago!

Fitted like a glove:D......absolute life savers here. Can't survive without them!

Yes, there were a few hearty soles on the line.........the fall is huge and thunderous.....it's amazing how close you get to the edge:shock:

Bottle some cold air for Oz !

Definitely starting to heat up here.

If you are a penguin or a polar bear I'd think of evacuating. Or finding a deep freezer with backup power ASAP.
