Totally agree, Diners & Amex are charge cards not credit cards so they are treated differently, but they are open to a business discussion, so you may be fortunate to a successful outcome.

The Thai J cabin crew on JQ30 Bkk/Melb 18Mar16 were terrific. Mrs Oscarq sneezed & without comment tissues were on her tray table in a blink. Breakfast offered politely as each passenger woke nearing Melb. Love to see this service on all QF flights.
