QF Status Credits on credit card spend - trial

I would love to have a QF credit card in Europe... On the other hand: I have an AB business credit card. Every Euro gives a status mile. Spendings at Shell give 2 miles. 50K Miles = Gold (Saphire) and 100k Miles Platinum (Emerald). That adds Lounge access on Virgin and Etihad Airways partners...

    Do I have a shadow.........

Oh sorry: In German "to have a shadow" means "very stupid, foolish,...". For the seat blocking: It worked quite good on my few domestic flights with QF in Y. Traveling in Y with my family of 4 on a 737 I put them on ABC and me on D. E did stay empty on all flights.

At what point do Status benefits kick in?

PS does not give you lounge access, so no problem in getting the status a little bit later. Extra luggage does not kick in, because you are NB at the start of your journey. Business-Checkin could be handy on the return flight, but your physical card is not needed.

Through checking on separate itineraries: policies and experiences

I found a nice UL fare and needed an LH feeder. My Travel Agent did put both tickets and bookings into one PNR -> Worked like a charm. What i did test: LH -> QF, JQ, EK works EK -> LH Works (even with QF flight number). LH -> BA works

Simpler and Fairer on Air Berlin - pleasant surprise

Hi folks, just to requalify I did credit a few flights to QFF. I just had a pleasant surprise. In former times only the booking class Y did yield Full Economy SCs. That has changed. So all fares booked in Fly Flex Economy (which are medium priced) now get Full Eco SCs and Miles. So that...

BA Gold moving back to QF Platinum- any ways to speed up the process?

Warning: Do not try to change your BA Adress to an Australian/NZ address. There are reports that they will shut down your account and you have 6 months to spend your Avios (OK you could transfer them to an IB or Avios account...).

BA Gold moving back to QF Platinum- any ways to speed up the process?

    Air Berlin topbonus

AB offers quite some good features if you are based in Germany. The German credit card gives status miles. You need a German bank account for that. I get my AB Gold at the moment soley from my credit card turnovers. Since I drive a lot and spendings at Shell give double to tripel miles, the...

Current Qantas baggage interlining on separate tickets

I usually book quite odd connections in Europe connecting to QF or LH. What I found out is that QF and BA are a bit picky with checking through luggage on separate tickets My experiences on separate bookings in the last 6 months: LH->QF no Problem (operated by EK or QF) LH->EK no Problem Even...

Upgrade on BA flight but on QFF program ? Possible? Ever happens?

BA offers Cash upgrades. They are priced quite reasonable. I receved Points and SCs of the upgraded Class. So just look at your booking at ba.com and check the options.

Car seats on QF: 2016 edition

Safety is quite a big issue. Luckily there is not enough statistics about safety, because the number of incidents is very small. You should keep in mind, that the risk of a plane accident is much lower than a car accident. Then the risks are quite different: The main risk is the risk of...

Duration of points/sc credit especially on BA

Hi folks, when I flew BA in the past, the qf points were credited quit fast to my account (usually on the next day). Some other airlines (AY, IB, AB,...) usually post once a week on a special date/time (usually around midnight in Australia, morning at home). My IB flights do post Thursday...

Anyone a member of Miles and More?

Miles&More was a good program, when you are based in Germany. They enanced it quite siginificantly. I still have the *G with LH, but it is quite a great effort. Most Economy fares are down to 25% and Cheap Business fares to 100%. You need 100K Miles for a Star Gold (opposed to 50k in most...

    New partner earning table

I just played around with the airline earning tables and found out, that QF is again changing the partner earnings form 1st December. Just some massive tables were added, and it is again made simpler (not)... I found out that partners now earn fixed miles. There are really quite a few things...
