Unfortunately, while misleading, I think you misunderstood the VA promo. You will see each of the discounted seats has a red symbol on it. None of the forward Economy X seats have that symbol. Looks like $50 was correct and only the exit rows were $15.

To be honest, if you’re in J or F just skip all the other lounges and head straight to QR if its open. (unless on QR or AY business light fares) If you’re WP - QF First is best. If you’re SG - EK is best.

I’m glad QF has a policy and enforces it, although it needs to be simple and fair to deal with. I don’t want US-style flights that look more like a farm than public transport for humans.

Yep. Not to mention half the time Flex Y can be close to or more expensive than Discount J. Good for corporate pax who cannot book J I guess. Not sure if it was a mistake, but last time I redeemed it to CNS I was able to upgrade both legs despite Business Rewards seats only showing one-way.

I don’t know but there does seem to be a lot of weed dispensaries in bangkok. I assumed it was legal. Maybe they sell something else.

Interesting. Considering there are credit cards in the US that hand out free HHD, I think that seems like a low estimate. E.g. per AMEX financial statements, there are apparently 60m+ Amex cards on issue in the US. If 0.5% of those are Hilton Aspire cards then there’d be 300,000 HHD right...

Unless you’re WP1 or your agent doesn’t want to wait, they’re all pretty much declined on the spot. October also represents the Northern Summer / Winter timetable reset (although its end of Oct not beginning) but that can influence what’s released and when.

I would check begs almost every time if airlines met this standard. I think Delta used to have a 20min guarantee. However, if implemented today, QF and VA would be in administration by Christmas from losses on points.

Our defamation laws are absurd and have a reverse burden of proof. I’d be amazed if a modern writer put anything to paper about someone else without a folder of evidence to back it up. Agreed, we will find out the truth soon enough.
