$100 off return Qantas flights to Auckland with code TAKEOFF100

Thanks for posting, if i’m quick enough I may be able to make use of it, but the tiny nature of the promo is perplexing. So the maximum available savings from the promotion, if fully subscribed, is $62,000?? Why bother, QF would have spent more than that on its lawyers drafting the T&Cs and...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

I think most people agree and it comes down to how it’s handled. Politely and with gratitude tends to be the rarest forms of requesting better seats.

The email will tell you how long you have to claim the reward, but its three months.

Qantas Business Class Upgrade - MEL -> SIN

That’s a vacant seat that is accessible. Once selected by any pax it will become a solid blue block. Fortunately privacy has not been completely discarded to the extent disabled pax are identified on the seat map. :p

Qantas Business Class Upgrade - MEL -> SIN

Ummm what? Expertflyer shows seats that are accessible, not seats that are occupied by someone with a disability.

Qantas Club Lifetime Membership Benefits Removal

I’m not sure always, I think we used to get a booklet of 10 single use guest vouchers. The new system is much more generous allowing a guest on every trip. But either way, guesting privileges at the time of the OP’s visit is completely unrelated to their lifetime QC membership as free guest...

Not sure about that graphic, but in real life, from personal experience, 1A and 1F are noticeably larger than row 3, especially when the bed is down. Row 3 and 2 seem similar.

Qantas Error Fare: First Class to Los Angeles from Sydney $4,299 return @qantas.com (several dates incuding xmas holidays)

They refunded it in two transactions, fare and CC fee, but charged it as a single transaction. So I guess we will see.

Delayed processing of upgrades QF12 - any theories?

T-28 = Scheduled departure time minus 28 hours. T-80 = as above, 80 hours before the flight departs (which is usually when QF unblocks preferred seats for non-status pax).

    PGR Program Changes

Yep same. Interestingly in the “My vouchers” section I have 2 free night vouchers, but no idea how to use them. Ticket request still not replied to since end of August.

First class QR SYD DOH pax told they cannot enter the Qantas F lounge have to go to AIRNZ

QR hasn’t been a fan of OneWorld lounge rules since joining the alliance, not surprised they want to avoid whatever the F-lounge entrance fee is per pax.

    QANTAS "Loyalty"? lol

Those Ansett points would have vanished into thin air on 13 September 2001 and Virgin has never been part of Star Alliance. A legitimate complaint, QF should have re-routed you on its next available service at no additional cost to you. Wow. This is where you lost me, we all need a vent and...

How an EU261 law might work in Australia - case study of QF1974 on 28 August '24

I dunno … QF pretty much controls the market. If it could charge more it would right now, it wouldn’t wait until its costs increased.
