You can try but I doubt they give preferential treatment to VA plats. once in the aircraft they treat you based on the cost of your ticket!!!

My experience was that they put you the next available flight. You will have to pay for a difference in fare if any + a penalty and for me it was AUD50.00 more and an hour later to reach my destination.

While it may be that the TA did not follow the exact process, I am not sure why SQ enforces this rule on registered TAs. The ground staff at SQ in Australia right from the top has always been a bunch of button monkeys....."The computer says No"

EK seems to taken this path a few years ago and therefore its preference for partnerships Vs. join alliances.

I dont bother getting in to the club anymore.. esspecially if its full. I prefer to pay one of the many coffeee places outside where there are no queues like the QC.

I agree with Simongr on this....besides, as frequent flyers I would have thought we should have got used to snoring etc. types. Or maybe we have not reached the Gold/Plats in the tolerance club.

I kind of know the feeling...back in those days when I used to only fly LCCs and someone gave invited me to the Qantas club before my first trip on QF in y. What an experience that was!!! Inorder to prep yourself before your next 'dreaded' J trip. Invest in a trip on Tiger:lol:

I am not sure why we get worked up on this...ATA was a bonus and never an entitlement. We did not pay for the access and so Virgin cannot be blamed for changing their policies on the ATA.

That is strange. You can fill the retroactive claiming of miles form found in the krisflyer websit. Post it to SQ alongwith the original boarding pass and your miles should appear in less than week. i would keep a copy of the boarding pass before sending the original.

A perfect example of inconsistent service standards that QF is known for. The next time you might receive an average service and suddenly you might feel QF is very good. Anyone who pays a premium price for a trip should not be put in position to have anything but a fantastic experience after...
