    Bassinette Seats on Jetstar

We requested with JQ (HNLSYD) 10 months in advance for Bassinette and was all confirmed. Did the same with QF and was on request. Found out 4 months out it had been confirmed but were moved as a platinum FF had requested the seats. Needless to say we weren't happy.

Call for airlines to charge passenger 'fat tax'

Maybe this is what some of the US carriers (and international carriers) have started with charging for baggage. They cannot charge for larger pax additional weight, but essentially removing the free two peices of up to 32kgs per piece and then charging for them for effectly the same fare is a...

Call for airlines to charge passenger 'fat tax'

Same suggestion to extra seat width applies here, but rather based on mass. Airlines would need to recalibrate their cost per seat, specially how much weight the avg passnger is based on. The applicable increase would be reflected in the according increase in price of fares.

Call for airlines to charge passenger 'fat tax'

Currently larger pax are encourage to pay for business or PE seats. Surely they can be encouraged to pay for more space in economy by paying for the next seat. Unfortunately the only way to police such a thing will be by the cabin staff, and by then it's too late to move people around...
