Well .. i didn't get my Silver fee free upgraded.. they only sent me a new card with the chip. I don't use my silver as last year CB waived 1 year for my gold one. If next year they are not waiving my gold card i'll just use the silver card. Oh well .. seems like they don't upgrade everyone.

If the merchants are charged extra for platinum cards, so currently is can we use the platinum card at any store showing visa or mastercard logos? I am just worried when lesser merchants will accept the platinum card compared to the silver/gold cards if we upgrade it to the platinum.

I Did call Citibank Customer service number in order to close down card. That time i called around 9am and i got a US citibank staff and he was really helpful and waived the fee on the spot. So maybe there are some calles routed to US as well?
