Once again...
I sent my signed employment contract to them on 24th Jan...this morning had a new email asking for the same document!

I was finally approved after much to-ing and fro-ing - they couldn't read my faxed driver licence or bank statement, I hadn't contacted my payroll dept, did I really work that much overtime when my base salary was such and such, blah blah.
They kept phoning me at the most inconvenient times and drove me mad!

2 nights ago, I applied for a Signature card for my +1. Today he faxed off the requested docs and I just logged on only to get the message that his application had been cancelled!
Grrrr.
I have to speak to them again .

Card arrived today so 10 days from initial application. I didn't specify a limit and they gave me 30k straight up, i was a little surprised because my Veda score is currently average because I churned though a few cards last year for the sign on bonuses and changed mortgage providers, with my new mortgagor recording 3 inquiries during the application process (I have since asked them to remove two) it would appear that however Citibank is assessing the applications, the Veda score is either ignored or little weight is given.

I have found Citibank very liberal with their lending when I last had a card with them a few years ago.

Be careful with Citi's backoffice.

I submitted a direct debit form. Got a statement today which showed no mention of a direct debit having been set up. I rang and they confirmed that the direct debit was set up, but when she confirmed the details I noted that they had input one digit of the account number incorrectly. They can't change it over the phone - you have to send a new form. I politely complained that it's ridiculous that I have to submit a second form with exactly the same information because someone in Citi made a typo, and the fact that everything has to be done by form rather than providing details online directly. The lady was very apologetic and offered 2k points for my trouble which was something. I'm just glad she confirmed it while I was on the phone because if she hadn't and the direct debit had failed I can imagine the hassle that would have caused.

Called yesterday asking what was going on with the double email.
I was told that because the signed employment contract I had didn't have my companies ABN listed on the document it was invalid and I should get a new contract....sigh

photoshopped the ABN in there now, fingers crossed.

Well, it turns out Citibank cancelled the application because he is my subsidiary cardholder (I don't think so!).
I asked what that had to do with his application anyway. They are now looking into it and will get back to me .

My +1 and I each has a primary fee-free Signature card where the other is a suppl card holder.

No issue there that I know of.

Can't help thinking that once we are all signed up, that they will devalue the transfer rate for the Sig Card like they did for Plat and below....

Won't affect me. I signed up for the 60k point sign up bonus which is credited after the first transaction. If they devalue the transfer rate I'll just give it the flick.

Another email, looks like they don't 'approve' of my employment contract still. I am unsure what they want on it this time, perhaps a bloodied fingerprint will appease them.

Received priority pass today... application made 10 days ago...

Received my pass yesterday.

Am surprised that it did not include a free entry pass as I thought you would get one pass + second free entry on presentation of card.
So I now assume you just show your card for 2 free visits.
Also was surprised at how thin the lounge directory is. It is about half as thick as Mrs B's 6 month old directory.
Have they lost access to lounges :?:

The way I see it, a balance transfer at 0% for 6 months and a points earning visa free for life, cancel it whenever you like, free priority pass access, free wine program. ... what's not to like about this card. ..!

I applied for the Signature card on Tuesday. Lady called me up on Wednesday after speaking to my employer, and informed me the application was successful.

Today I get an email saying I have been approved for the PLATINUM card. When I check my application on the website, it says declined for Signature card.

What the hell? Income over $100k and no debts.
