That is strange. There is at least one report that I recall of a Plat CC holder getting the notification regarding the change.

I've got a Platinum Credit Card and got a pamphlet in the mail a week or 2 ago with the changes mentioned, but emphasis was on the new partners/new conversion rates. Just a generic brochure.

I haven't received some things that other members are reporting in other threads though, like the new Ascent brochure that details the Virgin Atlantic 15% bonus on points transfer.

My brochure only arrived yesterday.

So I would imagine that it is a progressive mail-out as the mailhouse works through trhe list.

My Ascent brochure arrived! My secretary gave me my mail barely an hour after I posted to say I hadn't received it...

Re the changes to the Ascent program, I do recall now that there was a letter accompanying the brochure outlining the changes as well (just to correct my earlier post)

Well, 25 transactions so far this month, so the bonus points are accruing (aren't they Amex :?. Was nice to have to pay for 2 QF tickets yesterday (alas, only domestic BNE/MEL and MEL/SYD/BNE) and take the staff out to lunch (guess who got their CC to the till first ).

Still not POCked, but having the BP promo certainly helped the bonus points along....

Now to pay my Optus bills :mrgreen:

Isn't this thread just bright and breezy now that Amex have clarified most members' concerns...all the fluff has been blown away. Seems that a lot of posters are either happily waiting for the bonus tranactions to be posted...or ambivalent...or perhaps even transferred out all their MR points and cancelled their Amex cards

They had a promo a year or more ago where if you signed up for electronic statements you got 1000 (?) points and I missed it. So I've been waiting for the offer to come around again and it never has.

Isn't this thread just bright and breezy now that Amex have clarified most members' concerns...all the fluff has been blown away. Seems that a lot of posters are either happily waiting for the bonus tranactions to be posted...or ambivalent...or perhaps even transferred out all their MR points and cancelled their Amex cards

Yes Dec 5 would mark the end of the ten week maximum from when pioints currently were stopped being awarded.

On that day (but hopefully two weeks earlier) a lot of posters will know:

*if capped applied
*what bonus rate of points are being accrued
*what spend may or may not be disqualified.

However it could also be one week earlier as may people had tx on Sept 17..and even though points were awarded fora bit...their staus needs to be ratified as Amex have been stripping points.

So perhaps Nov 26 will be the real date.
