Clarified my post - it's 45K in bonus points awarded to me. (I did not spend $45k...)

Thanks for clearing that up...so we at least now have one cardmember "officially" past the post since the modified T&C came in.

And you are well past the cap of 10K per month...for Dec has not arrived yet, so the cap would be 30K to date.

I actually have had more than 40K awarded BUT that was pre-modfied T&C and Sept 23 when points stopped posting to me....so I guess mine are "unofficial"

I am convinced that its not points for this month as I have made 39 transactions this month and are on the 5K/5T and have not been POC'd and confirmed 5K/5T with CSR last week

I am in the same boat as you but think you will find that your points are for November not September and you will find that you are now being given points in the 10T/5K bonus. If you stay on the that bonus plan who knows. I reckon you will get your next 5K bonus after your next transaction.

I have reveived 20K bonus for Novermber and should have enough for the next 5K from todays transactions. I was receiving the bonuses on 5t/5K before everything stopped in September. Have not been POC'd and now appear to be getting 10T/5K for November.

Originally we thought we were getting Sept points, however there now seems to be a pattern of 5K after each 10 transaction lot in November.

This is for my husbands card. He registered 19th Sep for the 5T/5K promo only and has not been POC'd. Like you, he received 5T/5K initially in Sep, he now appears to be getting 10T/5K for Nov transactions.

If I had to guess I would say it is some sort of promotion flag that has been set incorrectly, or correctly, in the customer master or control file.

Oh, one good option for tranasactions - Movember. I have had a number of friends advising me they are growing mo's..and when I went to give a donation, I noticed Amex is accepted. Needless to say, they all got donations and the transactions have posted nicely (yesterday).

Guessing you ignored my posts where I posted recieved 15K and 20K in bonuses under the 10T/5K promo from transactions in Nov and my associated mapping of transactions to bonuses awarded.

Congrats to anat0l to being the one recognised by the official thread monitor

@straitman I think the reason for the brain cell commitment is because although the T&C say 8-10 weeks, people have received points in various lots at various times with no perceived underlying theme - thus a genuine consideration of what the heck is going on is fair I think...

I have a surname early in the alphabet, so I don't think that is the issue.

Slow indeed...they both posted in this mornings updated transactions - one from 29 October and the other from 6 November. What a poor business model in cashflow management...

I wonder what would happen if somebody "missed out" on bonus points because of this slow transaction posting in previous months - and having to contact Amex to advise them of the "outstanding" bonus points to be paid. Can see it happening in January (for Decembers transactions).

In the past month I have had transactions for Cabcharge, TaxiEpay and Taxitronics when using taxis. Taxitronics has a sample size of 1, but came through the next day. TaxiEpay are generally next day, but sometimes take an extra day. As for Cabcharge, well 2 days would be a rapid time for it to post in.

Not not at all, as ignored would imply that I deliberating did not acknowledge you for passing 30,000 points awarded including critically with some of these posted amended T&C and Sept 24 when they stopped.

I thought you meant that you had received 20K in total...which even though it all came in Nov could have been Amex catching up as who knows really how they are now crediting points????...

That you have received 35 K in total now would also take you beyond a coughulative cap of 10K per month...of 30K as it is now Nov.

I am past the post with points awarded....but this was pre-Sept 24....so I am still "unofficial"....

I think we have well and trully exhausted our discussion of super-cheap transaction possibilities. If an intelligent person had a new idea, I doubt they would post it here and open the floodgates and possible Amex retaliation.

How did you get the above data for your Amex card? I would like to check mine but could not find it in Amex when I logged on. Thanks

It is simple and Amex does not provide the data for this promotion in summary format.

Log into your Amex account and click on 'view most recent transactions' and start counting the A$ transactions for each of the months. To go back to a previous month then you will need to look at the activity for previous months.

Looking at my transactions I have 30 so far this month and 4 have not made it to the account yet.
