10,000 bonus points per 20 transactions

Woo hoo...I just checked my account and found they have credited me 15,000 bonus points.

So the figures now look like:

# up to and including 9/12, with at least 2 transactions to post from today. Goal is 120, so I'm well ahead of target - maybe time to consider 150 [That would make an overall target of 155K bonus points]
+ Points owed were 5,000 but paid on 10/12
~ Points owed were 35,000 but 10,000 paid on 10/12

Perhaps they have been reading this thread . Now to wait until 9 January for the next instalment of accrued points...

Then again, perhaps they are paying the 5K bonus points owed from September and 10,000 points as a once-off "sorry" for their stuff-up. I wait in hope ...

The plot thickens (well since my last post advising of 20,000 points posting).

Been on the phone to the specialist team in MR looking after this debarcle, plus someone in the executive team.

As stated by Amex, the points posted today are for September transactions only, most have been credited in full (all transacs to 30SEP08), however some still have points pending.

Now the punch in the guts...

After going through ACCC & BFSO and having a decision made by Amex in writing on the 26th of November that I was on the 5,000pts per 5 transacs promo "MYREWARD" and am uncapped, I received a letter today signed off by Corinna Davison, Vice President Brand, Loyalty & Rewards saying that I was never sent an invitation via mail and that I had been placed on the 10T/5 "MYBONUS" offer....

Needless to say I was most annoyed, and thankful I have a paper trail a mile long.

Anyways, the phone call, as mentioned previously clarified that I was on the "MYREWARD" promotion, and that several hundred people had been sent this letter in error (the supervisor in the MR team stated that they were getting flooded with calls regarding this).

Whilst I had hoped everything was sorted out and clarified last week, I honestly think there will be no closure on this until March 2009 when all bonus points should have been awarded.

Craziness is an understatement as to how this whole situation has been handled.

Indeed. Add to the 5k points put into my account this morning another 35k points credited this afternoon; total credit for today 40k points and total for the promotion so far 120k bonus points credit to my account. This pretty much lines up with what I am entitled to for Sept and Oct.

So I have enough for a Y oneworld award now if I burn the lot to QF..... *sigh* decisions, decisions....

Like everyone else, the line simply says "Bonus Points".

The reason I think is that I have been receiving points and Amex think that they have paid me everything they owe aside from the catch up re POC'ing which is only 5Kish net.

So I dont expect to get a flood of points.

I did however receive my BFSO case number today for the other 146K they owe me

In reference to my comment earlier that they had missed the most recent 5K bonus - that was my error not theirs. They are still 146K behind on 5T/5K and 16K on 10T/5K

I also received the same letter today saying that I am now on the 10T/5K bonus
Despite the fact that I confirmed with the MR CS twice before that I am on the uncap 5T/5K bonus.

Hope that they just sent out the letter in error.

I also received a letter today from Corrina Davison advising I had not been invited to the $5T/$5K promotion, which I found rather offensive since I had been sent the printed flyer. Which of course, I can no longer find... I was assured by the Amex rep when I called half an hour ago that I was still enrolled in the original program (but haven't received any points since 23 SEP so can't verify). He mentioned hed just had a similar call and a number of letters were sent in error. Not the best way to build customer loyalty...

a + b + c all apply to me, and unfortunately I too, have not received any points. Very happy for those who have started receiving points again. opusman, are you owed any September points? I'm technically only owed 5000 based on the 5T / 5K promo.

just checked on the website, i received a so called " Bonus Points" today.

it is 10000 points.

i have been receive regular 5000 bonus points through out nov and dec, but they always under one of my purchase line. but this time, this Bonus Points is just by itself.

I have also received 5,000 bonus points. Now I am really confused. I am almost certain that September is correct under the 10T/5K promotion and I did not start accruing October transactions until October 9-10. Could it be they have started giving December bonus points as I have 15 transactions so far in December?
