Even at my abysmal transaction rate , I think they may have forgotten a few.. but never mind .. better some than none...

I too have received bonus points today, however the amount does not add up properly.

I also don't know if I have received a "fraudulent activity" letter in the mail as I am in WA until Saturday. I've also sent a letter to Amex regarding that I should be on the 5/5 due to all the reasons we have heard before. However I don't expect to have a reply just yet.

Worst part is, I am in a tiny town that only has a few shops and no one takes amex! :evil: Might have to do a couple more Carbon offsets tonight!!!

Interesting to note that it is in the last few hours of the promo that points have started to post again.

Perhaps Amex does not mind starting to award them again now that it is basically too late to earn any more.

I think with the promo ending...that Amex may well have started posting points to cut off the flood of phonecalls as peoples focus will after today have swapped from earning points to when am I going to get them.

And more so as the 10 week period has already been exceeded.

Awarding points partially now will no doubt appease many...and will also probably deflect some of the heat from the BFSO etc.

I too received my points for all my transactions in October. Based on what everybody is saying here, it appears that this is an automated credit of points to the accounts. I wonder if they would subsequently reverse this and peruse the transactions manually for those they deem as potentially abusing the system. It can therefore be a risk to leave the points there. Are people keeping the points or transferring it out to frequent flyer accounts? I might do the latter. I wonder if Velocity's 50% or 25% bonus offer will be back soon, let's hope so.

Very very happy (and surprised) to say that I've also received the Sept balance and all of Oct points.

Now ... let's hope the Nov and Dec points will arrive in the not too distant future

Like many here, I received a dump of some substantial amount of points into my Amex MR account on NYE. Not bad way to end the day....or year for that matter. Now it's just a matter of waiting on the Nov and Dec points, as well as cross-checking the Sep and Oct transaction lists against the credits.

With NY09 just rolled in and thus the curtain drawing down on this insidious promotion, may I be the first to state the obvious, in the words of the archetypical American sports commentator:

I have received an amount of points that might just cover the deficit they owe me for September - it definitely does not cover me for October in any way at all - and even if they had put me on 10T/5K (I'm on 5T/5K), then I would still be behind in what I'm owed in points.

I'm very glad to see that that some of the points have posted, but until they all have posted, I'm now going to stop my use of the Amex card, and I'm also very glad that I have a BFSO claim in now.

Has everyone definitely received all their points for September and October now? Anyone still not got them all?

75,000 points for October posted, all Sept points posted a week ago and 2 weeks ago.

November was about the same level as October however December should net close to 200,000 points.

As I posted yesterday, some points arrived, but they are too many for what was owed for Sept and not enough for what I am owed for Oct, so not sure exactly what they are for.

the last time i saw a post of bonus points was in september--nothing at all since then.

I got all anticipated points from Sep & Oct. That is a positive answer for iTunes music and carbon-offsetting.

I guess I was more alluding that the transaction period is over, i.e. transactions from here on in will not count towards the promotion.

I guess this is now entering a new phase where we'll see if our multitude of points will turn up in the next month or two.

I have all bonuses for Sept in QFF and Velocity which are enough for 2 flights to/from LAX or SFO, and I expect all bonuses from 1 October to 31 December by the end of January as per Amex's promise to the BFSO. I should have over 523k by the end of the month.

I just received 50,000 block for October and 5000 for the rest of September. Now just November and December and another 140,000 points!!

OK - I have no idea what is going on.

Under the 5/5 promo I have earned 130K and had paid out 170K in the period Sep to end Oct

Under the 10/5 promo I have earned 65K and been paid out 175K in the period Sep to Oct

(both figures exclude the POC amount)

Sep - Nov I have earned 225K and 110K under the two promos

The 35K is just a random number for me...
