No points here.

I'm not owed many due to my present inability to shop. I'm owed for September, November and December, with all my October expenditure in other currencies during my DONE4.

Has everyone definitely received all their points for September and October now? Anyone still not got them all?

I seem to be short for October, got a block yesterday like many others but it seems pretty random and doesn't really correlate to any of the 3 promos

Well Dec 31 less 10 weeks is Oct 22....and so perhaps those that received Dec 31 points are being made up to date till Oct 22???

In my case no points since Sept 24..:(
Was sent a suspension letter dated early Dec...but some who were sent a suspension letter dated Dec 18 who had not replied to it were awarded points on Dec 31. So go figure???

There seems to be no logic to what is occuring.

There has been no logic behind this promotion from Day 1.

So many errors
So many mistakes that even occured on the last day of the promotion.

I have a sneaking feeling that those who have received big bonus points on the 31st December will get another letter saying "you have now received all points"

I got a batch of points also on the 31st, but I can't correlate it at the moment with September. Will need to do more research when I can get to my paper based records.

I'm willing to bet that your sneaking feeling is way off the mark and is another example of the paranoia and/or misinformation that runs through this thread :!:

One way or another AMEX will allocate points to people in accordance with one (only) of the promotions.

Once again don't contribute to it then & good for you

Considering some people who have received suspension letters have also received 31st December bonus points make it all the more interesting.

To make it very clear for you:
A letter is received saying you are suspended from further participation in the promotion
Then 12 days latter you receive more bonus points

Time for another POCing ?
Time for another "we made an administrative mistake and you are not really suspended
Time for "you need to wait 8-10 weeks from the end of the promotion before any points are received"

I could go on.

As for only one promotion, you could argue that since you were signed up for all three, with different codes and different T&C's all three contracts should stand.

It's not an arugment I would bother making, but I know several that are trying it.

lovestotravel,

Once again I have simply expressed an opinion with which you disagree and that is your prerogative.

I'll say it again and expand slightly for you. One way or another (they may be forced to do so) AMEX will allocate points to people in accordance with one (only) of the promotions. Whether you or I agree they will successfully argue their way out of the multiple enrollments that people have made.

I have worked for big business far too long to expect any thing different.

Time will tell who is right :!:

Yes they will only pay out one promotion, hence why I said I am not wasting my time with the argument with them. Others are trying that arguement and good luck to them.

Yes they will pay out points, eventually, but the recent round of suspension letters is just another tactic to reduce their liability. The clause "legitimate everyday spend" is very open to interpretation but at the end of the day "we" would win that argument.

Again good for you working for a big business.... WOW impressed.............

Excuse me now, while I go and read the rules for this forum with stipulate that I must participate in more than one particular thread of these forums........

With all due respect, you post here very often but most of your posting appears to be pointless and unfounded speculation about what Amex might be doing, or what Amex might be thinking.

You're perfectly entitled to your opinion, but stating is once is generally enough.

I think Straighman (and myself, and others) are sick of hearing the same unsubstantiated opinion over and over again. If you want to post over and over again, then start a blog. People who want to hear it will subscribe. There's no need to post the same stuff over and over again here in this forum - we heard (read) it the first time.

I'm capped on 10,000 monthly, but have just recieved an extra 15,000 points! I'm certainly not complaining, and hoping they will not realise their mistake.

Now it appears that the points are being given, hopefully we will see less of the posts containing pointless (no pun intended) theories about the "deviousness" of Amex???

... Those 150K points have a value to me of around $2,750, so I am content. (Especially since I never received a 'postcard'/'invitation'.
MR accounts received a total of 25K bonii last evening.

My contentedness lingers on ...

In this case the lump sums hit the MR accounts that did not receive any such with the bulk postings of several weeks ago.

.. and yes, there was more than one account that had such a posting yesterday.

Final points posting should be tomorrow as I had some late transactions on 31/12, the penultimate figures are:

Code:
Month Transactions Points Credited Points Owed
September^ 23 10,000 0+
October 70 35,000 0~
November 102 0 50,000
December# 138 0 70,000

^ from date of registration (18/9)
# up to and including 31/12. Still have 2 or 3 to post. Goal is 150, so I almost made it [That would make an overall target of 165K bonus points]
+ Points owed were 5,000 but paid on 10/12
~ Points owed were 35,000 but 10,000 paid on 10/12 and 25,000 on 31/12

So now we all play the waiting game for them to make the final points payments.

I'm missing four transactions from 31/12 none of which were late in the day.

Not all tx post the next morning.

ie my local 7/11 virtually always requires an extra day to show up...and I was often buying paper in the morning.

Also I have noted with a number of businesses that tx after about 4pm seems to take an extra day as well.

When they do post, they do post with the correct date and so they should count for your promo count.

I am hoping they post on the right day, and they usually do. But not always. 5,000 points difference if they don't all make it!

AnonymousCoward: As my proper reply to you got deleted..

If you don't like what I am saying dont' read it and more importantly don't reply to it.

My posts on here have been fine and with the games that Amex is playing paranoia is bound to set it

Get over it :)

I 2nd that, transactions I have found can take up to 2 full workings days to appear, but when they do the fit in with the correct date, and that is very importantly before the 31/12/2008.

Today the 1st, was my first day without anything spent on the Amex
