Don't take me seriously..
It seems some people need to get back on the happy meds...
Amex's failure to meet its own promised deadlines, and its strategic letters of suspension and 'you weren't invited' letters etc, are worrying.
Is it true there's little chance now of getting classic seats for a trip to LA for the January 2010 school holidays? A Current Affair should film lots of crying kids waving off a plane on its way, without them, to Disneyland.

Vet,
I just booked flights to LA... I booked exactly 353 days out, the flights were released at 11am each day. ...
I was waiting to be unsuspended from the promo so that I could transfer points into my QF account, however Amex didn't get there act together in time so I was lucky enough to borrow some points from my brother until Amex sort everything out.
No one should need to borrow points because Amex hasn't paid up on time, even the mythical someone who supposedly paid vodaphone to get a kerzillion points.
- nor are they a party to any loss caused by you not having points when you wanted to purchase tickets.
I'm trying to think of a polite way to say 'that is a load of cough':!:No one should need to borrow points because Amex hasn't paid up on time, even the mythical someone who supposedly paid vodaphone to get a kerzillion points.
Absolutely correct.Sorry, that's just bollocks. Your contract (if that's what it is) with Amex would allow you to chase them for points they havn't credited. Your purchasing decisions with the points are none of Amex's business - nor are they a party to any loss caused by you not having points when you wanted to purchase tickets.
Eer.... Yes :!:[/Devil's advocate] Even if AMEX haven't credited the points owned by the time specified in the contract.
As a devil's advocate I can't really get excited about this line of reasoning. But I guess I appreciate the sentiment. If my tenant stopped paying rent leading to foreclosure and lost of my property I'd be pretty annoyed with the tenant. Not that I can see any way that I could recover my lost future income from them.Eer.... Yes :!:

Anyway, meh

Are you really serious?
I hope he is Simongr. I am going to sue Amex because my missus has developed asthma while I've been waiting for them to provide the points I need for a Dyson. "I'll do the vacuuming when Amex give me my frickin points. Take it up with them if you've a problem".
