I think I was closer to the 10% back at 10,000 posts, but its not a stat I follow.

I expect my % of total posts measure to steadily decline.

As mine has since I reached 1K posts and having a busy EOY meaning less posting.

The fact that I am almost 200 posts behind NM shows my slowdown and his pick up...

Almost 16,000 posts.

Less than 3 months ago we were approaching 10,000 posts and in that time we have added another 6,000 posts. What a wonderful achievement. Not as good FT where they recently achieved 5,000,000 posts but still monumental.

Congratulations to all who have contributed, and a big thanks to Clifford Reichlin for making AFF possible.

This post should leave the post count just 38 short of 16,000.

Wow. There has been 250 in the last day and a bit.

Won't be too long before we get to 17,000. A real chance of getting there before this year is over.

Maybe it depends on how many times FT dies over the next week or so. But I think 17000 is achievable.

Don't get me wrong I would love to get to 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 etc. I am committed to this site 100% but some people appreciate FT more than this site and that is understandable. I also think, and this is 100% arrogance, I will end up at some stage with the highest post count on this site because i love it exclusively, sorry NM but your loyalty is split. Not really interested in FT other than having a quick peek every now and then.

Hmm, I'd beg to differ JohnK - I'd hazard a guess that he's younger, a quicker typist perhaps (note I didn't say better, because he makes a lot of funny typo/spelling errors ) and I'd definitely contend he has the knowledge to answer lots of posts as well as make comments.

But, nobody knows the future, so we look forward to seeing what it holds.
I'd definitely say that in time, you'll probably overtake me, as I'm slowing down...

Sorry quite wrong there.

Believe it or not NM is one of my idols on this site but his priorities lie elsewhere. There is FT, work and his young family.

Conversely I am alone, hence more time, and more OffT posts.

But don't forget that OffT posts are required regulary as you cannot survive on 100% factual and OnT posts.

Don't forget that I am also away for 10 days but there is an internet cafe just outside my hotel so who knows.

Posting on two sites does make it very difficult and I can see by your posting count on the other site that you contribute a lot.

Yes, well I'll be away for a lot longer and won't be posting here at all. I'm back n BNE for 3 days before going off to PER/ADL for 10 days; so it'll be a month before I'm back.

I'll see you in about 22.5 hours. We'll be getting there around 10am now, as the DFO on Airport Drive is having a Boxing Day sale. If it's like any other "sale" they've had, it'll mean trafic chaos...
