I said many posts back that I have one card that I use ONLY for OS transactions and that is receiving the boni points

I also just received a survey invitation and it was basically comparing my Amex Plat CC vs the other credit card that I told them that I had.

They were curious to know the pros/cons of Amex Plat CC vs my other selected CC....

Interesting survey, I highly suspect Amex have lost many Plat CC holders to the many other Plat CC's floating around issued by Banks!

Me either. I got a CPA gold credit card and made at least 20 transcations from the end of July, no any bonus points coming. Wondering is this promo for maximise only or for ascent as well? Even my account shows Im in the new ascent program at the moment but I can't see any difference between existing and previous.

Account 1 - No boni points - Plat Charge & Plat CC - No boni :shock:
Account 2 - Gold business CC - Boni Earning - :mrgreen:
Account 3 - Green business CC - Not sure

So looks like I will be abusing the gold business CC for a while with personal expenses... Whoops

I've got the CPA Platinum CC and New Ascent, and am getting the bonuses

Obviously AMEX are pushing hard to get their card accepted at more places etc. Strange they have not told anyone....guess it is to reward their loyal prolific users...........like us !!!!!

Spent the morning using my cards HARD

About 30 transactions all up over the 3 cards

Contrary to most (if not all) views expressed here so far, I actually think the "non published" promo is quite clever.

Amex changed the earning rate on my card down to $1 = 1 point about a year ago. This means that I'm now indifferent as to whether I pay with my Amex or my Platinum Visa with which I also earn $1 = 1 point.

This is not the first time I've earned bonus points and I don't know why I've received them.

If Amex can create the mindset that "I'm just always better to pay with my Amex (because there could be some sort of promo on)" then I think they have achieved a good outcome as I'll tend to use my Amex rather than my Visa.

Just my two cents worth.

Hit a snag this afternoon

My Plat Charge card is broken in two pieces

The lovely petrol shop attendant swiped my delicate card too hard and the magnetic strip section has fallen off.

The card is due to expire at the end of August and it's had a hard life.

Replacement should be due anyday I hope!

One reason for wishing you had the titanium card...

Seriously though, you may as well make use of the rapid replacement that amex pride themselves on. Especially with another promo to exploit.
