anyone know if i'm cutting it short by flying home on Monday, was gonna take the JQ3 MEL to SYD (1415-1540) to try the Flounge, my flight lands in the international terminal at however my flight leaves from Syd Dom at 16:30.

I swore there used to be a 9am flight from MEL - SYD leaving international terminal.... is thr 50 min connection time really cutting it?

It is an Outback, but having never met you or the other three, I don't know how much "elbow room" there will be. Happy to oblige if you want to take the chance! I am ok, I have the seat with the elevated rotary omnidirectional steering device. Departure of JT001 is from the QF domestic terminal at 9.15am.

I don't know how long the bus from Int to Dom takes in Sydney. Read the JQ36/35 Farewell 7th April 2012 thread for our tale of derring-do just getting a BP in the Int terminal. I expect 50 minutes would be pushing it.

The 50 minute connection time is really cutting it fine... It takes about 5 minutes on the bus itself, and buses only go every 10 to 20 minutes, plus you've got to get through immi \ customs, plus it's a bit of a walk to the dom connection bus stop, plus of course you'll have security to go through again. With everything falling into place you'll prob only be leaving the int airport as your plane is boarding at dom... Throw in a delayed arrival and your really pushing things fine...

As there is no charge for seat selection or extra leg room you are now 1A and vitagen is a tentative 2B.

The bus goes every 10 minutes (or more frequently if busy) in the mornings and 20 minutes in the afternoon and evenings.

I believe MCT is 90 minutes in SYD, if you're booking fares on a single ticket, so you would definitely not want to leave any less than that. As harvyk has said, it's pushing it fine. Better to be safe than sorry, especially when on separate tickets, and where JQ is involved

Has everyone got a meet point when we all arrive into Mel airport? I know Jess is looking to pick some of us up at 930-10 I believe? Would be good to meet a few people first to put a name to a face?

I'm going to be mega jetlagged! I think i'll be lucky to manage 4 hours sleep that day! I'm excited!
