I will be sending a PM to everyone when the timing and locations have been finalised as there are prepaid events etc, I wont be positing it in public for reasons that will become obvious on the day if all falls into place ;).

Now I'm super-duper excited :D
Thankyou for organising!
Now I just have to clear out my over-stuffed in-box ;)

Has everyone got a meet point when we all arrive into Mel airport?

J-Lounge? :D

Only 17 more sleeps to go, not that I'm counting... :D (Gee it's been ages since I've been this excited about a trip to MEL that didn't involve an F-Lounge in some way)

Looking forward to it!! Thanks again markis10 for organising the event.

Looks like I'll be back in the before then, so will be able to make it. So could you put me down for it.

Thanks,

Another one looking forward to it, I should book my flight back from Melbourne at some stage.

Am so upset I will be in the US & have to miss this one.
I've been dragged kicking and screaming (ok, not quite that!) to the USA. My only requirement was "Must be back for the 19th!" so, person booking my tickets got me back at 0830... on the 19th!
Still, hopefully whY load factors are low and i can take the economy bed option and rest up ;)

Is anyone else up the front on DJ304 on the 19th ?

Brisbane - Melbourne

Is that J or are you on a 737-700?

Unfortunately I have some bad news, JB747s employer has decided they can make more use of him than we can and as a result he is working that weekend and cannot make it, and I have also been advised the tour behind the scenes cannot go ahead also due to airline requirements (not sure whats happening that weekend). I am mindful that many including myself are travelling specifically for this event, however the schedule if we go ahead is looking very light with the changes over the past 24 hours, so we are left with two choices:

1. Go ahead with the museum tour and evening flight as well as lunch (as the lite version)
2. Move the event to 18/19th august to allow for things to be rescheduled, enough time for fares to be changed and still be cheapish, this would allow for the following schedule:

Saturday Double F lounge run to Syd and back followed by the DC3 flight/dinner
Sunday Museum/Flight Sim/Lunch/Tour with a mid afternoon finish to allow those non locals to get home.
The lunch venue and charter companies are happy to transfer the deposits.

What do people think, the other option of course is to can it completely and organise refunds, which will happen for anyone who cannot make the changed dates anyway?

As I am from Melbourne, I am easy. I will go with the flow,Not sure what Double F lounge is. Would need to know.
