Enjoy the nap Older Dame and turn that air conditioning down. Or ask for a sheet and blanket. They have them onboard.

Yes. I'm really hoping so Anna. They need to get him off the ship and I'd be willing to be the witness to get that happening.

That is a really terrible thing for someone to do - to anyone. Totally rude! I hope they can identify him but have a feeling, much though we would like him to be thrown off, that no action will be taken. He'll just say he didn't see the other guy and it was an accident, even though you saw he deliberately shouldered the other guy! Hey, if he is on your snorkelling trip tomorrow, perhaps something unfortunate could happen to him!

I think accidentally running into someone just happens.

But to feel a significant bump, to see them fall, heavily, have someone call out to them, (and hear them as he looked back) but do nothing but keep walking identifies other issues.

But you're right Dame the O, unless it's on camera probably nothing will happen. Unless the fallen man decides to do something about it, or is injured and being American might just do that. I would in his situation.

I'm not saying the rude oaf didn't make a conscious effort to 'ignore' the poor bloke he knocked over; he woukd just pretend it was accidental. Who knows the victim might take it further but presumably unless it was filmed, there is almost no chance of identifying the perpetrator.
Pre- dinner drinks this evening?

Pre- dinner drinks this evening

WAAAAAAHHHHH! I want pre-dinner drinks on the QM2 (pout).. not fair!! I have VERY fond memories of lovely pre dinner drinks in the commodore club and particularly the chart room where great music was often going on too. I never could understand why anyone would want to do early dinner, it doesn't allow enough time for the obligatory pre dinner drinkies!
I really must book another QM2 cruise. Not sure if you know it but they have fantastic kids facilities too, our daughter went on her first Cunard cruise at 2 and now at 9 she has done 4 of them. They don't get many kids on Cunard, which makes it even better in my books, but she used to love getting dressed up and coming to pre dinner drinks with us and then going up to the kids club while we had a lovely adult dinner.

Loving the trip report, keep having fun ladies!

TT, we do so enjoy the pre-dinner drinks in the Commodore Club. They have a lovely selection of vodkas, including Chase, the UK boutique one. Unfortunately they have taken off one that we liked last time.
There are a few kids on this cruise but very few. The age spectrum is skewed to the other end, but so far I have not come across the same number of very old passengers like we saw last time we were on.
You know the only thing you can do is book another cruise, go on, I know you want to

ODY (younger old dame), the show is on at 7 tonight which will clash with pre-din din drinkies, but I'm not desperate to see a juggler on a unicycle. Of course if you want to go, we can make alternative arrangements!

How can you compare a juggler with a boutique G&T? We'll have to work on that.

Did Peter catch up with you? He was looking for you.....<evil grin>

'Scuse? You may need to explain that one - to me, that is!

Maybe you need to ask Peter? I don't know why he'd be looking for you. :p

All perfectly innocent though. Sadly.

What's my brother doing onboard the QM2? Go to the pre-dinner drinks, much better conversation there

Pushka, was has happened with the little incident this afternoon?? Have you reported it - and have you seen either of them since?

Yes I reported it. And gave my details. I'm thinking the man was in a state of shock and may need attention for physical injuries once that wears off.

I was thinking that such incidents must completely destroy any confidence they have in moving in crowds now.

I hope he's ok. And I am fully prepared to assist him if something more comes from it.

Just finished dinner and an early start tomorrow. The catamaran collects us directly from the ship so some good photo opps I'm thinking. Weather forecast is partly cloudy and chance of rain later.

Also, this navigation map has us going along the coast of Australia to Cape York. Previously we were going via Eastern side of PNG. I'm happy with the change.

Where did you go Older Dame? Our table mates are a really nice bunch and we seem to be getting along together really well. Just as well as there are another 14 nights to enjoy.
