You're asking me to do something IT-based Pushka....surely you jest. I look at the photos both on iPhone as well as laptop - no problems loading them for me. Anyone having issues?

No dramas on the app here. They fit on the screen on the iPhone but they are larger on the website which is the way it should be.

Well OD younger has gone off to the gym so OD elder is lolling on a lovely cane lounger with a cup of tea watching the sea float by. The relaxation room in the spa, however, looks out on Deck 7 promenade and there is a somewhat continuous stream of passengers out on their constitutional. Tropical overcast summer skies with the occasional island or Cape wafting into to view. I think I could get used to this!

Have you met the Kennel Master yet?

The Laundry Master
On an average day, the laundry processes a staggering 4000 items of linen in a 24/7 operation. It makes your laundry pile at home seem like nothing, right?
The Kennel Master
Did you know you can bring a dog on board a cruise ship? Yep, you can! There’s even a crew member dedicated to working in the kennels on the QM2. More than 2000 dogs have received the royal treatment over 10 years.
The Executive Chef
The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing 240 staff, who prepare more than 15,000 meals a day across 10 dining rooms. This includes the three-storey 1347-seat Britannia, with an estimated three kilograms of Russian caviar, 73kg of lobster, 460 eggs, 344 bottles of champagne and 1200 litres of milk consumed on-board each day.
With everything including bread made fresh on-board, the kitchen goes through nearly 8000 industrial bags of flour each year — if stacked this would reach five times higher than Sydney Tower (which is 309m tall).
Guests also consume an estimated 7000 boxes of strawberries, 700 scones and 6000 cups of tea. All this service requires 87,000 pieces of china and glassware, daily.

I think Anna is looking forward to seeing Vlad ;)

Yes that is correct and if he is wearing gym gear so much the better ;)

It makes me nostalgic for last century on a cruise to Cancun/Cozumel when I was invited to dine "a deux" by the dashing Swedish Third Officer, who wore his white formal jacket for the occasion. Those were the days :) Not even sure that officers are allowed to dine with only one pax any more. But it was a lovely evening. En mycket trevlig kväll :)

I haven't been able to post photos to AFF for some time now from either iphone or ipad. Maybe around the time of AFF8? I think that was when it stopped working.

Not being an IT guru, but I had that problem for a time - I think I was either using an old version of AFF App (assuming you're using App and not website), or a change in the Settings? markis10, NM, admin? I'll flag it to the Gurus for you.

Hey Markis10. Tomorrow Old and Younger Dame are doing a long behind the scenes tour which will take us into those places.

Doing my stretch class this morning and whilst lying on a floor mat in the Grand Ballroom I looked up to see this wonderful photo opp!ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1395285479.845945.jpg

Apparently there is a Vlad the torturer session this afternoon.

But currently Dame the Younger is lying in state in the Spa area where it is de rigeur to be lying on lounges in Spa robes.

After perusing the sale tables and purchasing 9 Revlon lipsticks for $37. But don't tell Dame the Older or she will tell me off. She's like that. :p

OD elder is back in the spa. A hydro pool session followed by the reflexology foot bath followed by the herbal sauna followed by the Finnish sauna followed by ....... A cup of tea and lolling on loungers again. Such are the trials OS the ship!

image.jpgHeading up towards Cape York - should pass it later this afternoon. Smooth seas, warm weather, yum!

i think OD younger was going to do a class with the torturer then have a nap in preparation for this evening's captain's coughtail party.

And a cuppa after another Vlad session. Very full it was today too. Of people and pain. An Abs class.

Grr. Pressed reply too quick. Vlad's favourite expression is "what is happening here" whenever he discovers slackers at the back or hiding behind a column. He's quite funny. But he got a little antsy when someone tried to enter halfway thru the class. Each morning you have to sign up. There were no spaces left but these people thought they'd swing on by anyway, and late. Vlad does not do late in his classes. When he turned around we'd all stopped doing the exercise (each one is done for 2 minutes) so he added 30 seconds to his Swiss IPhone timer made in China.

The country is beautiful. Slightly misty. Cute lighthouse on top of nasty rocks. ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1395295323.776366.jpg

And general shots as we cruise on by. Our speed has slowed - before we were averaging 22 knots.

And enough beautiful beach to make a developer weep. ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1395295412.386367.jpg

What's up with the horn blasts Dame Older? You're up front. ?

The water here is REALLY shallow. Barely moving.

This is awkward. This guy in an outboard is keeping pace. ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1395296968.728992.jpg

And now he's off.
