Well, it was sunny where I was! Hmmm, what's with the crack about the zimmer'? If you're not careful I'll spill the beans on your shopping!
Hoopla had finished when I went up to the pool again, but.... Skittles was on!

Sitting up in bed having just visited G32 the disco on board - average age 60+ so not really a swinging joint for any one less than pension age. The resident band played a little but then left us to Motown courtesy of the DJ. We left! The G & T was good though! Another fun filled day to relate coming up tomorrow

Yes, G32 not really happening last night. Band ok but soul and Motown when the DJ took over. really ain't my dancing scene.

Another gorgeous morning.

Up bright and shiny for a stretch session probably with Vlad on top 13th deck. Realise now why we were placed where we were last time, away from the CCTV. Phew.

All refreshed from the stretch with Vlad. Now I am a loose woman (not that kind of loose!!!) Sitting, well lolling really, the the relaxation room with a green tea watching the sky and sea and the people doing their constitutionals around the deck. Heavenly.

A cute "crossing the equator" ceremony. Ended up with the Captain in the drink. Neptune allowed us passage. Remain calm and carry on.

Oh dear. Old Dame the Older is locked out of her cabin! Not even the stateroom attendant with his master key can get in. He tried the balcony but my doorways locked! Sent off for someone to fix it. Could be an interesting outfit at formal night if they can't get in! Instead of the green light flashing when I out in the key, both green and red flash simultaneously. I Ajust have to spend more time in the spa while waiting.

Old Dame the older seems to be coping with no access to her cabin. I'm a little concerned about the current plans for her formal. A white robe from the Spa only works, in the Spa.

Pacific Ball tonight. Just hope the sequin studded coconuts get an airing. And I've heard someone really is going to wear a grass skirt. In the MDR!

Was that you wearing the grass skirt Younger? This I gotta see! Success! I have access to my cabin so I will not be resplendent in white waffle.

It's a guy!

On deck 4 (and others) it is pretty much impossible to see the other end.

image.jpgNot as spectacular as the other night but still pretty good. Not sure if it displaying up the right way - it is in photos but when I looked here it is sideways. Just turn the screen!

Looks like some hotels where the rooms at the of the corridor were cheaper than the rooms nearer the lifts. Really being taken away by yr 5* TR, thanks.

Another excellent night last night. No coconuts but lots of bright shirts. We chose the demure route and I wore long blue formal dress with sparkles.

A hosted table again last night. And Dame the Older and I along with our host who was excellent company as usual were "kicked out" when we realised everyone else (maybe 1000 diners) had left. Oops.

The dot is a boat.

Currently I see sunset from the balcony. After Saturday (Shanghai) we turn South West and I'll be seeing dawn.

There is a safety drill for the ship's company at present so they are all in life jackets and in position. The drill is a fire complete with 'smoke'. The captain has advised the medical centre to move as if it was a real fire its location would endanger the centre. The drills are quite regular and it is interesting to have the captain on the address system describing it.

Just went down to my cabin and it's part of the drill with a yellow sign on the door. I didn't do anything, honest! :D

The Filipino crew were seen standing on the decks today talking on their mobiles. We are just off the islands of The Philippines and they were receiving local signals.

Heard a person who participated in the Neptune ceremony yesterday (there were maybe 30 pax involved?) complaining that everyone onboard received a Crossing the Equator certificate. They said they felt gypped and only they should have received one. (You had to sign up but not everyone could be picked.)
Wrong on two counts. The initiation participation was free so it's hardly like they had parted with any money and second, it was a crossing the equator certificate and I believe I was still firmly entrenched on this boat as it did so. Some people just live to complain.
