Mr Tug is actually nudging us around now. Cheeky little thing. I wonder if the Cap'n knows. ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1394914132.383002.jpg

Can you you the water churning at the aft? Using the azipods (I think that's their name) QM2 is able to pivot on her length. ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1394914846.573493.jpg

Now we are facing out to sea. Maybe berthing starboard today. ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1394915315.760779.jpg

The itinerary is excellent as follows:

Monday 10th March Adelaide - embarkation
Wednesday 12th March Melbourne - no specific plans, been to Melbourne heaps.
Friday 14th March Sydney - meeting up with a random person on facebook as she is desperate for a Cunard Bear and I've agreed to buy one for her and give it to her in Sydney; a Bridge Climb at lunchtime; meeting No 1 son who lives in Sydney for after work drinks
Sunday 16th March Brisbane - docks at a Container wharf so probably just a shuttle into the city and look around.
Wednesday 19th March Cairns - doing a ship excusrion of a snorkelling trip on the reef. I LOVE snorkelling and have snorkelled throughout the Pacific, Hawaii, and Maldives. Thinking of maybe doing a Scuba trip?
Tuesday 25th March Kota Kinabalu - Malaysia - I've spent a couple of weeks in Kota Kinabalu so will just get off the ship after so many sea days and touch base with land again
Saturday 29th March - Shanghai. Maglev experience in the morning, organised Shopping tour in the afternoon, and then dinner. (Think - cashmere, silks, leather)
Tuesday 1st April - 2 April - overnight in Hong Kong then disembark

My aunt and uncle are boarding today in Brisbane and are doing the same shore excursions. Having done our first cruise a few months ago I am looking forward to our next cruise and enjoying your TR.

There are over 600 passengers disembarking today. Berthed starboard. With a lovely view...ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1394916645.167348.jpg

And Port Security.

I should be leaving home in 15-20 mins, so ETA Hilton 10:30. That will give you two a chance to catch up and speculate about me :o

This thread should really come with a Surgeon Generals Warning: "Proceeding past this point may see you overcome with the Cruising Bug"

Okay, 5 mins from Hilton - walking

Get ready to meet your first AFF Moderator :D - don't be too disappointed :o

Just has a lovely 1.5 hours with the two Dames, rollicking good fun. They are definitely going to have fun aboard.

Thank you Pushka for the presents from onboard, as well as the hot chocolate. That was very kind of you.

Waiting for more posts from aboard this afternoon...and the dinners :D

Is it afternoon yet?

Great to meet you QF WP.

Love_the_life is about to complete the joy of embarkation including passport check and safety drill. And especially credit card handover.

Hopefully Champagne is about to chill in an ice bucket. The fridges onboard are called chillers but that's optimistic.

So I've been encouraged to post this picture of the Bridge Climb. Let's blame a mod for that I think. ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1394938225.498333.jpg

My bruises are just coming out know. Didn't realise I'd hit myself so many times.

Why is after lovely fine dining I craved Hungry Jacks? Just wrong. Like the old lady in the buffet this morning wearing the room robe.

I put the boat in early this morning at Pinkenba, not to far form the mouth of the Brisbane river, for a run out into the bay and snapped a few pictures of the girl ....... here is one including your tug friend ...... Cheers

Great picture. :p

It's showing a life boat down which is weird. My cabin is under the fifth lifeboat in the dark area of the ship.
