I'm still within the 21 days and maybe I should cancel and cut my losses and ask for a refund? Will be interested to hear what others think.

If I was in your position that’s what I would do. It’s only because I have a few already past cooling off and almost at the 30 days that I am waiting until next week.

Also interested in other opinions though. I’m sure several others will have received the same letter.

Just received:

Advice please? Cancel all the policies (points have not posted), Sending the Stat Dec is not an option....

Looks like you're rumbled. May be best to cancel all policies and walk away now with a full refund given you're inside of the 21 day cooling off period.

I haven't (perhaps yet) received a similar letter. But I did use multiple names, addresses and credit cards.

Curious, how many policies did you have for the same address? And all for cats or dogs or a mixture?

What reasons are people giving for cancellation ?

There's no need to provide any reason for cancelling and I'd suggest you do not do so even if prompted.

I didnt bite at this offer.
Wonder how much you think the WW letter is bark and how much bite @Dr Ralph
Suspect it cost a few $ in legal fees to draft

90% bark.

But ask yourself are you prepared to put the time and effort in to go after them if they want to play hardball? That's why I offered the advice to @kpc that I did.

I'm not surprised at them taking this approach. I am surprised at them waiting so long to do it. It's one of the reasons I used multiple rewards cards, credit cards, names and address. Trying to make it as hard to track as possible.

With the multiple address you have no concerns about letters showing up and being returned as not at this address?
Or are they an address you have access to mail collection from.
I do understand if you do not wish to answer.

For those receiving letters, obviously it was a postal letter not an email?

Real addresses. Mail on forwarded to me.

Did they ask you the reason to cancel the policy and if yes what did you say.
Tx.

I just said something along the lines that I had bought it because I thought my pet needed it, but thinking about it now, he's a young cat and it doesn't make sense to me anymore. The operator probably though, stupid man, you'll be sorry when your pet gets hurt.

In hindsight, I should have got it for my dog who is going in for surgery tomorrow.

It's all a bit of a giggle - you win some - you lose some - won't be signing any Stat Dec so guess we just cancel and request refund - prolly kiss the funds goodbye - but it'll be 'goggle fodder' at the AFF 380 pageant at OT Sat nt.

If requesting a refund(s) I'd be on the phone asap to get in before the rush. They'll soon tire of doing multiple refunds.

Got the letter this morning. Best to walk away. I at least got one lot of points posted. I paid monthly in advance for all of them so hopefully some more will come through otherwise expensive points but in the end it’s all a game, some you win some you loose.

Thank you Dr Ralph.
I have sent an email yesterday for the policy cancellation and got their autoreply- do I need to call them by Fri. if I don't receive their confirmation of cancellation as the next payment is due on Monday?
Thanks.

That's up to you.

Once you send the email and specified the date of the cancellation then the policy is cancelled. If they take out additional payments apply for a refund of those payments.

Ok.
Thank you very much.

I rang and cancelled my 5 policies, and +1 has just rung to cancel her 5 policies...all within the cooling off period and premiums will be refunded. Don't forget to get the cancellation reference #. I suggest ringing up and cancelling ASAP if that is your plan :)
