Only benefit I can see is for VA lounges if flying Y domestically...
Oh wait, even a Platinum card gets you into the VA lounge.

Maybe there's a big deal with Malaysian airlines on the cards with Amex I'm guessing they are short of punters !

Malaysian Platinum status would be fantastic, particularly since you will also get it for your spouse.

A new benefit is a free night at one of 15 preferred hotels (Beijing, Tokyo, Paris, London, Istanbul, 5x USA, 2x Mexico, 3x Caribbean) until the end of March 2015. The hotels are mostly in the $300-500/night range.

In the new Centurion magazine. There were some other lame offers that are not worth mentioning.

I also received a brochure a few days ago with some fairy tales about what the Centurion concierge can do for you. That really made me laugh as none of my non-standard requests have ever been met.

Ha ha yes I received that waste of paper some claptrap about someone getting married and reserving a vineyard or something!! I'd be more than happy if they could consistently get the best hotel & flight rates but they can't

I also got a link for a Centurion cardmember survey which I filled in recently, they wanted general feedback & wanted to know which other card I used most. Ironically it's my CBA Diamond Amex because it gives more points than the Centurion until you reach the limit

I got that waste of paper too! I've tried to use that amazing service three times now and never had a result.

1) looking for an antique Rolex sent them a picture and no results, ok it was rare so may be hard...
2) looking for a specific limited edition Mont Blanc pen case, again no luck - ok sold out everywhere so maybe they have an excuse but getting a little annoying
3) a British artist still alive still painting, please source an original, 5 months and nothing! Have given up as they are clearly useless!

Hey Centurion dudes ............................. I cancelled in March - 2 weeks ago I receive a gorgeous GOLD package from Emirates containing new Gold Card thru to 10 / 2015. I assume this is just a 'hangover' from Cent days? Anybody else received similar?

JAAA - I was recently in LAS and walked past the Cent Lounge - imm started to gravitate towards it and then thought - 'Damn can no longer go in'!

No package yet but they asked me to confirm my address so they could send it.did you drop Amex altogether then as I'm sure the centurion lounges are open to platinum too

Dropped them like a bag o' spuds! Is it 8mths or 9mths penance you have to serve before you become a 'new member' and scoop up 80K MR pts?

Do you have a specific concierge? Or you just ring up and see who you get?

Mine usually work quite hard on my request and come up goods most of the time. Although she failed the latest challenge with with a Animator's Collection Elsa Doll - she did ring up all the Disney outlets around the world (which they are all out of stock), and found a shop that has one, but just can't verify its authenticity.

Travel I am not happy with. Although my current agent is very nice - she is great with hotels just not routing on tickets.
