Sad end to BUT's career, but as usual still the gentleman of F1.
Not that he was very high to start with, but now sits even lower in my opinion.Done and dusted. Interesting strategy from Hamilton.
Trouble is he put team HAM ahead of Team Mercedes. Despite clear instructions to the contrary. VET vs WEB anyone? As if you wouldn't do the same if you were in the position though .. drive to win (the championship)!

Of course he did! That's Hamilton, and frankly, every other driver would have done the same thing to win the championship. ot that I'm a fan of Hamilton but I thought it was bad form for the management to harass him and not to let them run the race as they wanted. Otherwise we may as well have drivers from the kindergarten. At least he didn't do a Vettel or Schumacher and 'accidentally' crash into someone just to win.Trouble is he put team HAM ahead of Team Mercedes. Despite clear instructions to the contrary. Ah the problem for ROS was that Hamilton was very smart so he floored it in the straights to ensure ROS was not within DRS and could not overtake, then in the slower sections, where overtaking was not feasible, Hamilton slowed allowing others to catch up. Very crafty indeed, or sleezy depending on your POV.Great race to watch and happy with the outcome.
Good for Ros, a win for consistency, but he showed when necessary he had the speed and overtaking gusto (e.g. on Ves last night!).
I'm unclear - if Ham was "so slow" why didn't ROS have sufficient pace to catch him - he can't have been that slow even in the tight bits (and was clearly holding him off to keep him out of DRS leading into the straights).
And RB stuffed RIC by calling him in WAAAY to early for the first pitstop (unless there was a tyre issue).

Yes, RB have had odd tyre strategies in the last few GPs.
