Says it all, really!

To get a better picture of the final result, this one is worth a read.

Brings Aston Martin to within 3 points of Mercedes now in the constructors standings.

It's a bit stupid really, yes its the rules (track limits) but it destroys the race. Just put a wall there and let them wreck their car.

And yes, Hamilton has always whinged when things are not going his way...it is just happening a lot more often these days.

I liked Toto - "Just drive the car Lewis"

Or install serious undulating kerb or a gravel trap exactly one car width off the track.

Will depend on whether they think Lawson is ready for AT drive (and a better option than Devries).

Ric in for Per and Law for Dev is one scenario
Per to see out contract end 2024 and Ric into AT (which is being renamed next season) is the other possibility.

Or no change if Dev knocks it out of the park before the season break.

Ric into AT before season end possible although there may be contractual issues for Ric if he does that (he’s still minting money from McL whilst he doesn’t have an F1 seat in 2023). Whether that just means more money from RB and less from McL for the same net will be interesting.

That will hopefully shake up the back of the grid. A few good results from RIC might give PER something to worry about.

Rumours flying on multiple outlets that RIC is back with AlphaTauri
Seems to be confirmed from multiple sources including F1.com

Admittedly in a Red Bull, but:
“Sources say Ricciardo was impressive in today’s Pirelli tyre test with Red Bull, his first drive in 2023 machinery, and that his best lap would have been good enough for the front row of the grid in Sunday’s British Grand Prix,” Barretto stated.
Of course, expectations should be tempered as Torro Rosso have not been competitive. At Silverstone they qualifyied poorly and finishing last of those still on track.

(FWIW, In qualifying 19th at Silverstone, DeVries was ½ second behind Tsunoda and was last of those still on track. Tsunoda only missed Q2 by .07 seconds.

Wonderful stuff, lets go Daniel!!!

I’m guessing he hopes this is a stepping stone to replace Perez next year.

Might be sooner than that.
If Perez keeps on going out in the first session of Qualy we might see another charge before the end of the year.

Daniel beat Tsunoda which was his main goal so not a bad first race.

Highlight was Lando breaking Verstappens trophy.

And what was the deal with Ron, Hermione, Arnold and Surfer boy...Skykids commentary team or something? I hope Ted, Martin and the gang are around for a bit longer.
